She finally had her kittens today (it's been a wierd day for my pets - BTW, my pup is sooo much better and is eating like a horse, so thanks for your good vibes!).
I was so mad because I wanted to be there for her when she had them. I was off all weekend and nothing, and then I go back to work today and she had them sometime between 11am and 4pm. She was still in labor here in this photo and delivered her placenta shortly after snapping this.
The other cat is her adopted "sister" Cally. I'm assuming Cally was there for her the whole time because she has been in the box with her and refuses to leave her side. She helps take care of the kittens and cleans them and cuddles and cleans Pumpkin.
It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen because we were a little concerned that Pumpkin wouldn't let Cally near the kittens but she's almost like a surrogate mother!!
Anyway, I just had to share because I've never seen kittens this small before in real life and just watching them interact with their mom and "auntie" is just so amazing and fun. Life is full of little miracles!!
 
that is so freaking adorable, mandy!! omg, too cute about cally! i love that everyone is one big happy family!!
 
awwww...so sweet..I still have 3 leftover in my house that were born in Jan:p they can't seem to find homes!!!!
 
Oh my goodness! Look how absolutely sweet they are! I LOOOOOOOOVE kittens! I want a perma-kitty... unfortunately they don't stay small... sigh...
 
Ohhh that is the best! How adorable. This brings back so many memories of when I was a little girl and our cats and dogs had little ones, it's so awesome!
 
So sweet! And don't be too upset about not being there... sometimes I think animals prefer to be alone when they labor... cuz they do that a lot, wait til their owners aren't around. Mine did that too. I had 2 females who ended up preggo within a few weeks of each other and they both took care of each other's babies. They were all inseperable and it was so hard for me to give the kittens away... I felt bad for the mommies. lol
 
Dang image blocker! I can't see them here from work! I bet they are sooo cute! So sweet that she's got a little helper too!
 
awww, how cute! isn't it amazing? i love watching tiny kittens with their mommy. and thats really cool about Cally!
 
oh, my how cute! and that is so sweet the kittens have 2 mommies.

glad the puppy is doing better too.
