I'm always happy with the way my pages turn out with a few exceptions, but they all tend to look alike and I sit and sit forever just looking at my canvas, what could I do different, I can't ever come up with anything.
Then I look at other galleries and I'm like wow, how come I can't think of anything like that. Drives me nuts! LOL!

yup I feel like that a lot. I am def not a "think outside the box" kind of scrapper. And I'm really stuck in a paperscrapping mentality I think (even though I have never paper scrapped).
i have decided this is my "style" :D

I totally agree - Whenever I go "outside" the box I feel like I just don't get it -

Yep, I always feel like my pages look exactly the same unless I use a template or do a lift!

I am totally annoyed with my pages LOL.

I totally do that, too. I tend to have a lot of similar looking titles even though I like the way they look and I usually have paper strips in it. Very similar, but at least cohesive. lol

I went through my layouts and it seems like alot of my layouts are similar except when I scraplift and use a template. I actually am starting to like scraplifting now because I can still make the page my own but copy the basic design. One of the things I get stuck on the most is photo placement and I noticed I tend to do alot of one picture layouts.

i feel like this too. i do mostly one photo layouts. and a lot of linear line layouts. and a lot of white space. this is just what i do best, lol. when i first started to digiscrap i always tried to fill the page, and now i find it hard to do. i always end up clustering, lol. but i think i have come a long way from when i first started! so i guess i'm happy. i get a lot of joy so thats what makes me keep doing it.

The story of my scrapping life!!!!

I try not to worry about this. Otherwise I stress and it makes it no fun.
I like to scraplift and use templates, so that helps keep things interesting. Plus, I think I go through phases with my scrapping. For a while I was liking things centered and layered, and now I'm more into white space and more clean layouts. When I feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over, I try and change up 1 or 2 things on the LO as a challenge to try something different :)

I am like that for sure. It is kinda irritating! and what's worse is knowing you are capable of making one of those stunning spotlight pages, just somehow your imagination wasn't doing it for ya! LOL ;)

I don't even have my own style, lol. I feel like the only "good" pages I can make, period, are templates or lifts. I guess the more of them I do the better my brain will get at the whole layout and placement, but maybe not, lmao. I am terrible at doing titles, so I tend to shy away from alphas. Dont get me wrong, I like my own LO's for the pictures and there are some things about the designs that I do like, but I just am not at a skill level yet where I can say I love all my pages or even have a style. Like I said, I am hopping I will get better the more challenges and lifts that I do. So you are in good company (well company, anyway ;) )

I feel like this constantly. I do a lot of lifts right now since I'm still learning as a scrapper. I started out doing mostly multi-photo LO's and now I've been dabbling in mostly single-photo LO's. I'd like to get back to the multi-photo pages though because I've got a LOT of pictures to scrap. LOL I look through the gallery and think, man, why didn't I think of that?!?!?! :)

That's me, too. I have just come to accept that I'm a paper style scrapper, and if I try too hard to go against that scrapping becomes stressful and the results aren't that great. It doesn't really bother me that I have a style and stick to it. But while *I* look at my pages and think they're all the same, I know that my family doesn't. They haven't seen the huge variety in the galleries, so to them a different kit and different composition makes for variety.

DUDE. story of my life. takes me forever to come up with something different and then (a little different point of view) i think...CRAP!, all of my layouts look like someone different did each one. LOL!!
i personally love the galleries that are more uniform, like yours. they all have a special touch, but they look like the same person did them, kwim? :) did that make any sense?

Yep, I feel like all my lo's look alike. *sigh*. I've been using some templates for the last few I've done to try to get out of my rut. lol

YES! But that is my style and I like it. It did take me 3 years to come to terms with that and stop tyring to scrap like someone else. I now like my horzonital paper strip style. LOL!

Allllll the time. I actually fiddled with a recent layout like a billion times, some even AFTER I uploaded b/c I just couldn't get to feeling good about it and I couldn't figure out what to do with it, lol.

I'm not sure I even have a set style yet. But I know what you mean about going outside the box. The one I did for the blog's color challenge was WAY outside the box, lol. Still, I know exactly what you all mean. We're happiest in our comfort zone.:)

You are totally not alone Vanessa! I have this problem ALL the time. I'm always trying to find my niche... some scrappers seem to have a distinct style that is really their own and they do so much within that and I just feel like I'm all over the place... but generally everything looks the same! LOL!

Yep... thats why I only use templates when I scrap... saves me the trouble of starting the same page 50 times, lol!
