kid plus scissors.. this is all YOUR fault..

LOL jk, nothing bad happened.. I just needed to figure out a way to get him to SIT and calm down, he's never going to get better at the rate we're going..so I gave him some scissors and some paper since I'm a bad mom and my almost 5 yr old has never been allowed to actually CUT anything haha..

anyway... HTH do I get him to only use ONE hand? LOL LOL Is he just going to figure that all out on his own or what.. I thought he'd have issues because of the whole lefty thing.. but no.. he's using them like hedge clippers hahaha

All of mine did it like that at first, but they get the hang of it, just keep showing him. It's hard for them to coordinate LOL

haha! Okay um, I totally started letting my almost 4 year old use scissors after that thread here! But she only uses one hand. Not the right way, but one hand. No advice from me, good luck. I thought you were going to tell us he already gave himself a haircut!

Well L.J. is SLOWLY catching on, but he does the hedge trimmer thing a lot too. Must be a boy thing. LOL!

Firstly, I'd make sure the scissors are the right size for him - adult scissors are just too big. Then I guess it's just lots of practice. See if he'll use his other hand to hold the paper.

LOL, Jade will NEVER be allowed to use scissors!!!!! She has alreay experimented with them, and lets say it didn't go to well! Good luck with your little man!
