ISO: Parent to Teacher poem

My dd turns five next month, and will be starting school as a new entrant. (I'm guessing that's Year 1? I have no idea). I have all the same worries as the rest of you about my oldest child starting school for the first time. She's a timid wee thing, and I worry that she'll be ok. Anyhoo...I'm looking for a poem to give the teacher that kinda introduces my daughter and at the same time says "look after her, she's one of a kind". Does anyone know of something along those lines? Have any of you sent letters or notes on the first day of school? What did you put in them? I don't want to grease up the teacher or anything...I just want her to know how important this step is for us all.

Ugh....I'm not explaining myself properly.....:( Help....

i get what your saying although i have no idea of a poem you could send to school. just a reminder: those kinder teachers are very tender and understand all of the new-to-the-school-scene parents fears. :)

Here's a pretty good letter.

I used to get some when I taught K...I'll see later if I can dig anything up. The best thing it to just be honest! Believe me, K teachers have seen/heard it all. :)
