Why clean with a 3-yr-old?

Seriously! My mom's group is coming over tomorrow night for a much needed Mom's Night Out Margarita Spa Party. I've been cleaning extra good this week because of this, but every time I turn around L.J. has dropped something on the floor, torn the cushions off the couch or ransacked the kitchen cabinets again.

UGH...I might as well wait until an hour before they get here.

At least there will be drinks involved so I can relax once it starts :)

LOL Tracy! I feel that way about my DH! Although he doesn't tear the cushions off the couch...

If your house looks a little "lived in" when the girls arrive, they will TOTALLY understand, lol! Besides, if your house was spotless they may be a little envious, lol!

Lol, I know how that goes! I hope you have a blast at your party and get to just relax and enjoy yourself!

Oh, and have a margarita for me!!! LOL

you should see my house right now. I have ZERO motivation to clean. With Brian gone..I just think...why make the effort lol..there are dishes piled in my sink and toys EVERYWHERE but right now I just don't care. I've got the preggo blahs so I'm just going to let it sit for now lol

heck I have a 16 almost 17 year old and she does NOTHING!! She doesnt help to even clean her messes. I have given up though. She does well in school, is on student government and active in alot of other areas like volunteering etc so shes a good kid just a bit sloppy. My middle son is soooo freaking neat. He cleans his room every morning before he goes to school and keeps all his stuff in order. Nothing is ever out of place. My youngest can make a home look like a tornado has come through your home in 5 seconds flat:-) Just dont wrory to much about it...all mommy's know the feeling and there will come a time when you are wishing for the messes again

DUDE I an totally relate!!!! and my vaccum does triple duty as well, I think that is why I burn them up so fast!!!! try with a teenager, 7 yo, 2 1/2 yo and one that is 14 mos!!!!! I went trhough their room yesterday and picked up some of their toys, and it looks worse now than it did yesterday before I started picking up!!! and DH doesn't understand why the place is always a disaster!!!!!

p.s. can I come for a much needed drink???;)

I totally hear ya!!
I feel like im following him around cleaning up his mess lol and that is just DH lol
MY 3 yr old can trash a room in about 1/2 an hour augh I dont know where he gets his energy from lol It isnt me haha
xx oh and enjoy your drinks and have one for me too hehe

42 yr old.....14 yr old.....11 yr old.....TWO 5 1/2 yr olds...a dog & a bird.....................yeah..my house is pretty much always messy no matter what!!!!!

seriously... my 20 month old can turn the house upside down in the half hour after he gets up from his nap. I've completely given up.

I live in chaos.

I get tired of following them around. I tend to only clean up twice a day...nap time and bedtime. Then start over and over and over...every. freakin. day. Sigh.

Standard practice in my mom's group was to send an 'ignore the mess, please' email when you hosted!

Cleaning the house with kids in it is a thankless job. (Can't say anything bad about DH here--he's a lot more likely to have to clean my messes than the other way around!) My 2 year old has been dumping one toy bin after another lately (meaning 3 shelves worth of toys in under 5 minutes), so I finally went through yesterday and brought a ton of unused (but often dumped) toys down to the basement. It was so nice to have a manageable level of mess today!
