I just want to cry today. I have no mojo to do anymore challenges. My doctor stuck me yesterday with the flu shot and tetnus/pertussin shot. Needless to say, I DO NOT feel good today, at all. He said I HAD to take them because I am a diabetic. I have gotten away with NOT taking those shots for the last 7 years, why now??? My AC1 level is at 5.7% which is way below where I am suppse to be, so WHY? I ASK YOU? There I feel better now. So sorry for the ranting and whinning. I hope you can forgive me. Thanks for letting me rant though.
 
I'm so sorry that happened to you! What a meanie! Take it easy this weekend and don't do anything you don't want to do!

I know the tetanus shot hurts like heck for a couple of days. I couldn't even lift my arm when I had my booster. Take some advil if you can. That should take the swelling down on the muscle. If it makes you feel any better, my doctor told me that everyone needs to do the tetanus booster every 10 years. Consider yourself ahead of the game now and in the clear for another 10! He is also advising that all patients retake their vaccinations--pertussus(DPT) being one of the ones he recommended me do too....

Hang in there and I hope the worst is over and you feel better real soon!
 
I hope you feel better soon...I'm able to opt out of the flu shots, and I do for myself and the kids. My DH is always the sickest one around here in the winter, and he is the only one that gets the shot LOL.

Hope you feel better soon, and can get some scrapping done. It feels good to rant and whine sometimes, just putting it done in print can help get it out of your system.
 
Oh {{{hugs}}} and BOO to the Flu shot. Don't worry about whining...didn't you see our two day long crab-fest?
 
Wow, double whammy! :( I can't stand getting flu shots, but I know I should because of where I work...but both years I got a flu shot (of the past 7) I've been SO SO sick with the flu, but no other year. Go figure! Hope you're feeling like yourself again soon! :)
 
Thanks everybody for your kind thoughts and hugs. I have wrapped myself in all of them. I just checked the points sheet so I don't have to worry about doing anymore LOs if I don't want to. The tracker says I have 38 points and I know I did at least 2 more since the last update. So I am good for points so I can SHOP, SHOP, SHOP next week. Of course, shopping always makes you feel better. Right? Thanks again ladies, think I'll go back to bed now.
 
Nonnie...I noticed you are in Mt Vernon and we as well had to get the pertussis {DTap} shot becuase of the recent outbreak in island county of pertussis, so that may be why he made you get it {not that it makes you feel any better} but they are even making the non-diabetic folks get it! so he is just looking out for your health, hon! and I hate getting those flu shots too and we will be getting ours soon {being in the medical field we are required to get them..and the Navy says so!}...and the last couple of years the flu strain has gotten people really sick....I hope you feel better and I am so glad that you have all your points to shop!!! enjoy the weekend!
 
Oh sweety ick, you have every right to feel gross and need to vent! I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you!
