I have too much stuff LOL

Since the EHD died yesterday, DH and I have been backing up on DVD like crazy people (because our EHD was our backup). He is doing his now because he has all the pics on his computer, I need to do my scrap stuff.....but I'm putting it off. Why? I have 144 GB of stuff!!!!! I will need like 30 DVDs to burn it all off. OMG!!!!! :blink:

We're going to get a new EHD but knowing my luck in the meantime something will crash, so we're moving forwards and burning stuff until we get somewhere to buy a new one. I know I need to purge, I guess this will help since there is NO way I want to burn 30 freakin DVDs.

Jamie, I'm using 220 out of 250 gb of disk space. Some are pics, some videos, but a good portion is digi stuff and all my PSD files. I don't know if I wanna get rid of my layered files right now, it's not like I've gone back to any of them to re-do them, but I keep thinking just in case...I'm such a pack rat!

Count me among those that have too much stuff. LOL

I can relate. Not only is it a pain to burn all those DVDs it's takes time to wade through my stash looking for stuff.

I have a lot of stuff too, but I'm big on purging...if it's been on my EHD for a long time and I KNOW I won't use it anymore I delete it. I don't burn to DVD's anymore b/c I was spending all this time and money doing it and I never went back to those DVDs. I know it's hard for some to let things go though...I just don't have a problem with it lol...I'm like that in the real world too...I'm so bad that my mom (who is a pack rat) has been known to go through my trash when she knows I've been cleaning to see what I"ve thrown out lol

yep. I when I got my laptop, i also went and got one of those transfer cables. i just hooked up my old computer to my new laptop and it transferred my files. took forever. and it didn't even transfer all of it. so i started putting everything on disks. then i got bored and didn't move all of it, lol. my laptop is now almost full and i hope to get an EHD soon!
