Starting the couch to 5K this morning...

hehe thanks girls! I'm apparently horribly out of shape and only finished about half so we'll try again next time!

Sounds like me, Traci. I'm horribly out of shape too..need to eeeease into it. Won't be long before we're in the groove though!

Oh that sounds interesting. I may have to try it. I wonder if you can do it by jogging in place?? Since I have Luca home with me jogging outside is sort of out of the question, unless I go in the evening after DH is home....

oh, hmmm..... I did just get a new jogging stroller, maybe I too should try this couch run... :D
Too bad my stroller doesnt have a lappy holder.... that will be the day.. ;)

now that's a great idea!!! do a "march" in place for the walk part and jog the run part. You are brilliant!!!!

WTG on even starting this!!!!

Hey something is better then nothing right!?!?! You an only go up from here on out...GOOD LUCK!!!!

i'm running a 5K in Austin at the end of October, Ride for the Roses. Good luck to all of you joining this fabulous program!

Hooray! You can be my Couch to 5k buddy!

I started week 4 today. It looked intimidating but I did it!!! My knees weren't impressed, but I was determined. lol

Good luck!

I started it a few weeks ago when someone mentioned it and I managed to make it through the first week before I crapped out. :p I really should start it again since we're doing the skinny jeans thing . . .

 thanks girls :D

I need a jogging stroller!

Check Craig's List for Sac Traci. I found a really nice one for $60 on there. New they cost around $200.

Good luck with the running. I am starting up again tonight.... I was up to 3 miles a day until I completely stopped 3 weeks ago... need to get back on that train.

Cute new avi too! :)

have those of you that did the program lost pounds and also inches? while I am concerned with my weight, I am more concerned that I won't tone up. to me, the clothes loosening is more impressive than the number on the scale.

GOOOOO traci!!! you can do it!!! and it works for sure! i'll be cheering you on!

Just keep trying you'll get it!!!! also - i find that it is realllly important to eat enough/sleep enough before you try the run, i alllllways crap out if i am not taking good enough care of myself.

YES! I lost... well i wasn't counting inches really very well, but i went down from too big for my 12's to almost too small for my 5/6s (umm i'm only five foot tall, so it isn't like i'm emaciated over here! :))

But yeah eating the proper number of calories and regular cardio was HUGE for me in the weightloss department.

I haven't lost any pounds yet (perhaps because I still eat like a pig lol) but I definitely notice my legs slimming down. AND when I poke them, my finger meets resistance instead of getting swallowed. Woot.
