Which one do you have?

I have hubby convinced to get one and costco has this one on sale:

I think I saw on www.dyson.com that it was the slim...?

worth the $399, should I get a different one?

I have it, too, and I *heart* it so much!!! I bought it as a refurbished machine - and it looked as if it had never been taken out of the package - and it was about 1/2 the price of a new machine. I think we got it off woot.com.
 
I have the Ball one on my list when our vacuum goes kaput. I keep trying to find ways to kill it but it keeps on going! LOL!
 
I have the DC 14 (purple)....I hate purple but I absolutely love my machine. I have a Newfie and her (shedding) killed one vacuum after another, but my dyson has held up and done a beautiful job for 2 and a half years now!! Its the best :)
 
Purple here too! I needed a power head since most of our home is carpet. Luv it to bits like everyone else (even tho its purple)!
 
i have the teal one! i splurged last year after the fire and bought one and i have no regrets. at first i felt really guilty for spending that much on one when we needed clothes and a whole lotta other things but now i am sooooo glad i did. absolutely no regrets.
 
Have the purple animal (DC-17?) - was given it as a gift. Love how clean it gets the carpets - amazing at how much more it picks up than other vaccums.
Wish the container was bigger though - emptying it the 10+ times to clean the carpets and furniture makes me feel like we are icky or something. Does an amazing job on pet hair - we have a long-haired Cavalier.
 
mine is purple and teal. its purty. i've had it for 3 years. i recently had to replace the flex hose on it cause it had a hole in it. mine still works pretty good but i'm thinking of upgrading to the ball one; it looks really cool! Dysons are well worth the money. i tell everyone to not worry about the price cause its worth it.
 
in the 3 years that i've had mine, i've never had one problem. just make sure that you clean out the re-usable filter thingy every so often 3 times a year or so. it's a no-maintenance vacuum for sure!
 
I don't have one but my Mom has the silver one (she got hers @ Sam's) and she loves it. They have a Great Dane that sheds tons of teeny tiny black hairs and it is great @ picking them all up. I'd love to have one but won't be able to afford one for a long long time, although my Mom will probably give me hers whenever she decides to get a new one.
 
I have had the red one for 4 yrs. Longest I have ever had a vaccum last. No problems what so ever!

well we headed to costco all set to get the one I originally posted the DC18 slim, but when we got to costco they had the DC14 animal... for $399! (they dyson website shows $549...wowsers)

I vacuumed w/ the one we are throwing out and then w/ the new dyson OMG I will repeat what soo many others have you won't beleive the junk that it picked up!!!
