My cable company didn't reach an agreement with NBC and now they aren't carrying it! There was a ticker at the bottom of the screen last week warning that "Time Warner Cable won't agree to pay pennies per day to bring you your favorite broadcasting" and that we'd be losing the network on Oct 2. And sure enough, we did...now there's a ticker at the bottom of the channel saying that they hope to resolve it soon. They've replaced the channel with HBO Family. Yeah, but that channel doesn't have The Biggest Loser on it :( I can watch The Office and some other shows online but not TBL. It's just annoying!

Ugh! I'm so sorry! They did the same thing to us with the CW when we lived in Tx. I hope it gets taken care of soon! That is so freaking annoying.

I know! It IS lame. We have cable in the living room and kitchen, but not in the bedrooms (it's my roomate's house, so her decisions)...so I was watching TBL in the kitchen on Tuesday nights, lol...because the non cable tv's in the bedrooms have rabbit ears that will pick up every over air station except for NBC. LOL! Go figure!

Oh that would aggravate me! When we had direct tv they didn't carry any of the major networks except fox so we had to actually use rabbit ears to tune in to those channels. We have dish network now and they carry all local network channels thank goodness.

We are dealing with the same thing with the cable company & the local CBS station. The only alternative to Bright House (which is also owned by Turner if I'm not mistaken) is DISH, but J. looked it up last night & it looked like you couldn't get DISH here without also getting a landline through them.

I had to watch my CBS Monday line up last night on my old 13 inch TV in the middle of Jeff's son's racecar table that we use as a coffee table. :p

I would be super pissed if it was NBC, though, since I watch that channel 80% of the time (no cable at my house).

Here in Indy, Brighthouse (cable) couldn't reach an agreement with CBS....a local station. So now it's gone. Luckily I have Dish Network and don't have that problem. I don't get it because it's local.

We've had Dish Network since July and we don't have a land line at all (we've been cells only for almost 4yrs) and they said that wasn't a problem when we signed up with them. I believe our service is $5/mo more because they can't hook up through a phone line, but we were okay with that since $5/mo is a whole lot cheaper than paying for a landline we wouldn't ever use! So you might check into it more, we have been very happy with their service and we LOVE having our DVR's!!
