Ladybug Invasion!

What in the world! I'm being invaded by ladybugs! We live on the 2nd floor of a 3 story apartment building and my balcony is COVERED in ladybugs. I have lots of trees around me and they're pretty close to the building... is that causing it? Why are they all over my balcony and are they going to come inside my house? While ladybugs don't creep me out like other bugs, the thought of having any creature (besides Joe Joe) INSIDE my house is grossing me out.

But they're GOOD bugs :) I know it's kind of weird having them around, but they're really good bugs. I'm actually surprised to hear that they're invading this late in the year, but they may be headed off to their migratory spot and will be gone shortly.
 
they might. I remember one time about ten years ago I went in my bedroom and the entire window inside was covered with ladybugs. To the point you could not see out of it really. There were hundreds. While I love ladybugs and they do not normally freak me out that did!!
 
We had quite a few this summer and then they were just kinda gone. I hope it goes so easily for you too honey :(
 
What? That's really interesting! Even though I detest bugs and totally freak out, I think the ladybug would be the least one I'd be afraid of if it was one or two... BUT, any more than that would definitely make my skin crawl :blink:
 
We get that here too. Like a huge lady bug migration or something lol
I dont mind, I just dont like the bugs that usually tag along with them.
 
Now, see, I would find this totally cool. I'd probably stare at them all day and take pictures,lol.Guess you girls wouldn't want to see the photo of the little garter snake I found on my back steps or the praying mantis that was on a plastic lawn chair of mine this past summer :P
I'm not making fun, btw. That stuff just doesn't freak me out is all.
 
Don't prevent it or wish it away! Ladybugs are good bugs, and they eat a ton of bad bugs!
