can a toddler eat Total cereal? I'm blessed that Naomi loves healthy cereal and will eat whatever I put in front of her. I'm not a fan of taking vitamins when I could get it through food, so I've been eating the healthiest cereal I can find. I had gone away from Total because I could eat the box and it taste better. But they came out with the new cinamon squares Total and it is YUMMY! I'm TOTALLY hooked.

But, I'm concerned with giving it to Naomi. I gave her a few bites and she loved it but ...a full serving is 100% of an adult's daily vitamins.

I wouldn't give her a One A Day...so can I give her this?

I would think she probably would not eat as much as an adult so maybe giving her a half sserving should be ok? I personally dont think it would hurt her having a full serving size because it is ok to give theem other foods that are nutrient/vitamin rich

Total was the first Cereal we ever gave Landen...he was 16 months I think, It's still one of his favorites...He seems fine.

I think it would be fine, just don't give her 3 bowls of it or anything. lol. I mean, I let my kids eat pretty much as much fresh fruit and veggies as they want to, and that's lots of vitamins, KWIM?

unless she's consuming 90 bowls a day, there's no need to be concerned (imo). Many vitamins are passed through pee (like vit c) - and since it's food and not a supplement it's my understanding that it's a lot harder to od on the vitamins.

There arent too many vitamins that she can "overdose" on because most you pee out the excess. I think Vit A and Iron are the biggest concerns and as long as she is eating it in moderation, she should be great. If you were really concerned about it maybe just forego the multivitamin for the day.
