NSBR: Boss's Day Gift Ideas?

I've never had a boss before so I'm totally clueless as to what to get him.
Here's what you need to know:

He's mid-30s with a wife and small daughter
He's an elementary school principal
He loves the CSU Rams
He's got a great sense of humor

I DO NOT want to get him something cheesy like a "World's Greatest Boss" Mug and I don't want to spend more than $20.

So, any brilliant ideas?

Does he drink coffee? A Starbucks mug and a gift card??

if you belong to Costco . . . they are selling five $20 Starbucks gift cards for $80.

or if he uses itunes could do iTunes GC.

or if feeling crafty . . . could make him a custom notepad. I don't think those are too expensive to make (?). you design page, make copies and have kinkos or some such place make into notepad.

A couple of ideas, one of which I've done for my boss. One year I took photos of everybody that works for him (we are in remote locations) and gathered some info about them, and made a scrapbook with a Star Wars theme (he's a big Star Wars fan) with each of us Jedi apprentices and him as the Jedi Master and some of the managers as Senators, etc. He loved it. I just wish I had taken pictures of it before I sent it to him.
Another idea is using your digital scrapbooking skills and making wallpaper and/or screensavers with his favorite photos or get some of your staff/teachers to dress up in CSU Rams-type uniforms and use those pics.
