I love this carrier! I had it custom made for me with fabrics that I love (a girly side for me and the other side will be good for when DH carries Ava or if we have a boy next time). I can't wait to get it!
I have a sling by Peanut Shell, but I bought it before Avalynne was born and it never fit me right, and she doesn't like it (probably cause its so uncomfy on me too), so I'm really hoping this one does the trick for us!

Any of you have one like this? Reviews?

I love those! A friend of mine made me one also with a fuschia brokade fabric. Rae loved being in it, I just wish I had one when I had the first two kiddos! It was a life saver when she was being a pill, and just needed to be held. Benjamin and amelia were just 4 and 2, so I needed hands free sometimes!

I had one when my DS was a baby, they are easy to use either in the front or back. My DS hated being in a sling so I didn't use it much but when I did I loved it.

ohh i have one like that (i have the babyhawk) and i LOVE it! I have 4 different types of carriers (sling, moby wrap, snugli & babyhawk) and the mei tai babyhawk is hands down my favourite. Its so quick to get in and out of and i find it distributes the weight the best. I haven't tried the back carry yet and always thought i'd be too scared to try but I think I will when he gets just a bit older :) In my avatar i'm using the snuggli and thats only because i didn't have the babyhawk yet then.

That's so pretty! I've heard great things about Mei Tai's, but I've never used one. I always use wraps myself. Love them!

Kristin, I'm so glad that you like the Baby Hawk! This one is the same design as the Baby Hawk so I'm sure it will fit the same! I am so eager to get it to try it out! It will make shopping & walking SO much easier I'm sure!

Nope, I never did.
I found it very very comfortable, in that I didn't feel weighed down, or like my balance was off when I wore it.
Mine had wide velvet straps, super comfy! I wore her all around Chicago for 3 days when we visited there.

I love Mei Tais! DS is 2.5, and I can still wear him in one. We started when he was a few days old. These days I'd rather he walk, but if I need to hold him it's a lot more comfortable with him in the MT than in my arms. I prefer front carrying, but I can put him on my back relatively easily. I don't know that seller at all and the quality (and comfort) of MTs can vary, but it sure looks beautiful!
