Am I weird?

Ok, so yesterday I had the first of three planings on my teeth. This one was the surface planing where they clean the plaque off the surface of your teeth. It took about an hour and a half because my teeth, especially the bottom ones were COVERED in plaque. My gums had receded a lot because of all the plaque.

But, today my teeth and gums look healthier than they've ever looked and now I don't want to eat because I don't want to get them dirty! LOL Next month, I'll be having two root planings. Oh joy! I just don't ever want it to get this bad again.

Luckily I had NO cavities. Yahoo!! So, is it weird that I am afraid to eat because I don't want to get my teeth/gums all yucky?

LOL! i was just gonna answer yes without reading your post. :D :p but no...i hear you. after i whiten my teeth i have a hard time drinking coffee. :)

Nope! I do the same thing! Well some of the not eating has to do with how much my teeth hurt after I get them cleaned too! ;)

I'm probably the only person alive who hates the squeaky clean teeth feeling. I can't WAIT to eat after the dentist.

Speaking of which, I need to floss more. They tell me every time and I never do it.

I'm sure they would be glad to hear that you're thrilled with it! :) I understand what you mean ... I am always a bit more consistent with brushing/flossing after a cleaning or other dental visit! HUGS!
