Holy...Wow

Amazing! I wonder if these cakes are any good? It seems they'd take so long to make, the cake itself might be a little past its prime!

They *usually* don't taste very good. First, because fondant is NASTY tasting. Looks great, tastes like crap.

Also, in order for the cake to be able to hold up all of the fondant and other pieces of the cake, the decorators make the cake VERY dense and as "sturdy" as possible. That doesn't make for a very tasty cake.

With that said, there are lots of amazing looking cakes out there that taste good. Just not all of them. :)

OK, all those cakes & sites really "take the cake"!!
I loved how Mike's has classes & DVDs - wouldn't it still be cool to make something that looked like those?
