What up with the Alice in Wonderland obsession?

I've seen several kits, and my 13 y/o daughter wants to be Alice for Halloween. I missed the memo on this...why all of the sudden interest?

On a side note, I think I love that Faith True called her kit Day Tripper. So appropriate. LOL

LOL I saw that kit this morning, and I have no idea what the interest is in it. Though I think I read recently they are doing a movie and Mr. Johnny Depp will be the Mad Hatter (I think? LOL)

Did someone say Johnny?

One of the finalists of Project Runway did an AIW inspired line too. I've never read it or seen the movie. Huh.

I read the book in third grade. Maybe I was a little young, but I do remember thinking the author was definitely tripping! I think I was only familiar with weed at the time...I remember watching my mom roll joints with her friend (when I was about 6). Nice, huh?

oh, thanks for that, Mandy. I needed that this morning!

I don't know why Alice is back in fashion, but these things do seem to go in cycles -- Hello Kitty is popular again with older girls too.

Back off haters! Alice is a star. You know, Dani and I have our very own 'Wonderland' inspired kit too. :)

Well it seems the interest is there all around....my 14 yr old dgs is going as the mad hatter and his g/f is going as alice for halloween!! Although I will say, the mad hatter is the perfect personality for my dgs....he is as silly as they come :)

People what kit are you talking about??? And why I´m kinda embarassed to be looking AiW pics??? :o
I love Alice ´cause she wasn´t afraid to go after the rabbit.
