Can someone please explain to me how you do a link to something without all the http//url....blah blah.... where it just says what it is??? does that make any sense? Explain it like I'm 4 cuz seriously, I'm challenged in this area. :o

Type your text then highlight it and press the icon with the world and the link... then paste your url in there... then your text is linked.

or the code is [ url= insert url here] YOUR TEXT [/ url] minus all the spaces

If you want to link in your gallery use the method Megan described ... if you want to do it within a post, copy the URL the way you normally would to paste it into your post, but instead of pasting it into your post. Type the name of your layout, highlight it and then click the little icon above your post that is an earth with a link and paste the URL there. HTH!

Dude, once you have the hang of it, you'll be linking everything!

K, so, when you have a reply window open, can you see the little icons above it, like an earth with a linky thing, and one that looks like a picture? Hopefully you're set up like that, because those li'l dudes are your friends.

So type a word or phrase you want to be the link, then highlight it, now copy the url of what you're linking to. Remember the little earthy with a linky thing icon I mentioned? Click that. Paste the url you copied into the window that pops up. Voila, you've made a linky!

Want to link an image? Get the url of the image. (I'm not sure the easiest way to do that on a PC, on my Mac I just right-click and "copy image address," I'm guessing PC's have something similar?) Now, in your reply window, click the little icon that looks like a picture. Paste the image url in there. After you've done that, you'll have something that looks like this:

[ IMG] https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/inspiration/ data/507/made-for-walkin. jpg [ /IMG]

without the spaces. Copy the url of the page you want to link this image to (e.g. a layout in the gallery), highlight all of the above, click the earth with linky icon again, paste the URL in there, click okay, and VOILA, linked image!

It should look something like this in the reply window (without the spaces!)
[ IMG] IMAGE URL[ /IMG][ /URL]
