Trick or Treat paint can...

It's not hybrid but i wanted to share anyway. i'm not done with it yet. i want to get ribbon for the handle and maybe some more things to decorate it with. so far this is the only one i've done, for Chloe. i have to find two more paint cans for Emma and Aidan. i got this one at Sherwin williams-for freaking $5! i hope i don't have to get the other two there, but if Menards doesn't get any more in i'll have to. they are only $1.99 at Menards. Anyway, here's what i've done so far.

i kind of wasn't paying attention when i was putting the first piece of black paper on the bottom; i should have made it so the seams were on the side in stead of on the front, but oh well. chloe loves it, and now i know better for the other two, lol. and i should have used all green for the 'trick or treat' cause you can't hardly see the black but i found some glitter glue in the back of my drawer. it helps a little.

It turned out super cute Corey! I love that black velvety paper on the bottom, I just wanna reach out & touch it lol! Hope you can find some of the cheap paint cans - $5 is outrageous!!
 
thanks everyone! it was so fun and took no time really. i just thought it would be cute to try this. we usually use plastic bags or plastic pumpkins too. Chloe adores it. this can from Sherwinn Williams is a very sturdy can, but i really don't want to fork out $10 for the other two, lol.
 
cute Corey!!! and I'm sure you're more critical of your can than anyone else will be! I know this because I'm the same way!! LOL

I wonder if you called a company that actually paints or even a recycling center if they would have paint cans that you could have? Might need to clean them a little but they would be free.

well, i know i have a few mostly empty paint cans of my own that i considered just cleaning up, but i don't know how clean i'd get them. i'm sure Menards will get some more in, or maybe they have some in the back; i haven't asked. when we get paid Wednesday i'm heading there first thing.
