We took the boys to the Harvest Farm today. I got some cute pics and even took home the prize for World's Worst Mom.

I don't want to re-typle all that I just did, so here is a link to my blog where you can read more and see the pics.

Poor little guy. But, how do ya tell the "i'm bored and want my way" whine from the "i really feel bad, mom" whine? If you feel like some self punishment, wear that stunning pair of brown and black shoes tomorrow, lol.

Ok, that seriously made me laugh out loud. :D :D

Aww Poor Guy...

I did that same thing to Elle today, she was being so naughty, and I kept getting her in trouble, come to find out shes fevery and not feeling well :(

PS- I love your blog!

I have been there too....maybe a collection of all the worst Mom's from SSD would be a best seller :w00t:

Oh good lord! You had my heart racing at the first sentence with Harvest Farm...LOL We were at Harvest Farm yesterday, but our was in ks! I was thinking uh oh here we go again with getting yelled at if i had missed a scrapper on here again...rotfl!! Sounds like you had a good time even though poor little Connor didn't like the cannons.

I'm competing with you for worst mom. DS1's was complaining about his stomach yesterday. Which he does all the time when he doesn't want to eat what's on offer. So I gave him a time out, made him come back and eat the meal. 2 hours later he had a fever and threw up. .

yeah I suck too

BTDT! I always tell them *inside my head* to "suck it up buttercup" when they're whining, particularly when there appears to be no rhyme or reason, but I've been caught in that situation more than once LOL! I get so tired of them whining all.the.time, that it's like the Boy who cried wolf, so I don't believe them when it's for real.

LOL I've done that too Jenny. The pig names.. freaking hilarious

Aren't they great? The Harvest Farm is actually a christian-based men's drug/alcohol rehabilitation center that is a real working farm. The men get to stay at the farm free as long as they're in the rehab program (which is one of the top five men's rehab facilities in the nation). The minimum stay is 13 months and its run by the Denver Rescue Mission. They do the Fall Festival every year and all of the proceeds go directly back into the rehab program. The men in the program run the festival and they're just a really fun group of guys. You can tell they love doing the festival because they get to show the community that supports them how their lives have been changed by the program. There is a hayride that they do during the festival and they have different men from the program give their testimonies during the hayride. Its pretty powerful stuff.
Out of the dozens of "Harvest Farm"-type places around us, we only ever go to this one because, no only is it for a great cause, but because it truly is the best festival around.

If that qualifies you for world's worst mom, you're going to have a lot of competition for the title! Until they actually have a fever or verbalize that they're not feeling well, it's so hard to know whether there's something real behind the whining.

I don't think that really qualifies you as the worst mom... :D If the kids don't tell you that they are sick then how are you to really know something like that?

Sounds like a really fun place to go though!!! And I love reading your blog.... although your Awwww post made me cry.

Jenny- in no way does that make you the world's worst mom. I can think of many moments in my mommy history that beat that one! :)

Super cute pics!

P.s. This bad mommy hasn't even taken her kids to the pumpkin patch yet!

Don't be too hard on yourself girl! I think we have all BTDT!! The farm sounds like a fun place though! I also LOVE the pig names! I was totally cracking up!!

Too cute!! I just read your conversation with Cameron about his birthday!! How stinking sweet is that? I just sat and bawled. It's just too sweet.

I could have written this post yesterday! We went to pumpkin patch, and after a while, my 2-year-old just gave up and threw a fit. I figured he was just tired, but when we got back to the car, he had the worst poopy diaper and a terrible rash from it. Poor kid! I couldn't smell it because of all the farm smells. I felt so bad. So I know how you feel!

Aww poor Connor, but don't sweat it jenny I think every mom has done that atleast once in their careers. We can't all be bad mom's, can we lol?

ANd I laughed out loud at the pigs names. Notorious P.I.G. and Tupork were my faves! lol

Oh, and i think the pic of you and Connor is precious! Better scrap that one ASAP! lol

Awww! Poor little guy! :( But hey, you didn't know. And really, it's almost impossible to tell a toddler's "i don't feel good" cry from their "i'm being a huge pain in the butt" cry. *hugs*
