So, who has carved a pumpkin recently? We did ours today. DH did the cat one as instructed by Lily. Henry carved the other one all by himself (except for the top).

How cute!!! The kids picked out pumpkins at the grocery store today. It's still way to warm to carve pumpkins here. They'd be mush by next week. :(
 
We are doing ours tomorrow!
Landen's 4th Birthday is tomorrow but we are not having his party 'til Saturday...so we are doing the pumpkins as a birthday celebration.

SO cute Meems!!

It was so warm this week, that ours are mush and somewhat unrecognizable at this point, lol. I don't think I got any pictures of them when they were fresh either. :(

dang, girl, you forgot about the seeds AND you didn't get any pics? What's on your mind? Wedding plans? :w00t:

i'm concerned we might have carved ours too early too.
 
We usually carve ours about 3-4 days before Halloween because they go bad so quickly here... :( I wish we could carve them now!!!
 
We have not even gotten ours yet....prolly won't till this weekend either. We will most likely carve them on the Wed. before Halloween.
 
Cute!! We haven't done ours yet! We normally wait till 3-5 days before halloween!

ETA:
I still get a kick out of the Napoleon Dynamite Pumpkins I carved back in '05 (they looked killer cool lit up)

I will probably do mine next weekend, they never seem to last long (yes, even when it is as cold as it is up here, a week is about all I seem to get).
Not sure what I am going to carve this year. In the past, I have done Scooby-Doo, Spongebob, assorted graveyard/witch/bat scenes, and my fave from last year ... a Mommy Mummy and a Baby Mummy. hehehee
 
Oh how fun are all these pumpkins!! We wait to carve too because our weather is still quite warm and moist so the pumpkins get a little icky if we do it too early.

we are doing ours sometime this week...here are the ones we did last year (it was our first time...pretty cute huh? although we lost part of our 'b' in 'boo').

Love your Frankenstein one! I'm excited to do ours next year, this was the first time I tried the templates for them.

We did ours early, but it is Alaska, so they're probably frozen. LOL! :D

yes! the templates are awesome. there is no way i could draw something decent enough to carve. lol we did all 3 in like an hour...they were really easy. :)
 
I don't usually carve ours until the day before. This year I am doing Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba...here are some I've done in the past, from 2004 to 2007 respectively.

We did ours last week because L.J. would not let me forget that we were going to carve it. And yes, it's now mush after this weekend. We'll probably go get another one this week.
