Laundry help please!

Lipstick on Naomi's dress :( (an unauthorized dress-up encounter, that was). It's not just any lipstick either. It is covergirl outlast. Maybe I should look up Cover Girl's phone number and call them. I scrubbed it with stain remover and a toothbrush...didn't budge. It's my favorite fall dress of hers, I'm desperate. :(
 
Yikes! I hate lipstick stains. Destiny did it so many times that I finally told her she could play with make up ONLY if she was in play clothes. But she is older than Naomi. :( I'm sorry Lena, I have no miracle fix!
 
hmm...

i'm not really sure. I know that lipstick is supposed to come off with oil based remover. i know they used to sell a special remover that was oil based but, of course, it was for your lips not laundry.


maybe oxyclean? it got the gentian violet out!
 
I would try oxyclean too. That stuff works miracles!

Oxy Clean. That shizz gets out everything. Let it SOAK in HOT HOT water (unless it is bright with white on it and will cause color to run) for like 1 hour in the washer.

When I was going through clothes to eBay, it got stuff out that had been there forever, that I couldn't get out when the babies were little.
 
Okay...there's this stuff in the household cleaner section called Greased Lightening...it got RED RED lipstick out of cream colored carpet in my old house. Just spray it on and let it set for a while then wash separately in hot water...it should come out. I use it on all my laundry that have any greasy stains.
 
Isn't hairspray supposed to get stuff like that out? I'm pretty sure my friend swears by it. The spray kind, not spritz, you know, the kind that used to kill the environment until they improved it.

Also, Zout is a great stain remover in the laundry aisle at the store. It's in a red spray bottle and has gotten out many things for me that OxyClean did not remove.

I use a stain remover called Shout, and it's gotten every single stain out of our clothes including grease stains that had already gone through the was once before it was noticed. Just follow the package instructions and it should take out the stain no problem!
 
I swear by Dawn Dishliquid with Oxy clean for all my stains. haven't met one yet that it hasn't taken out!!! I squeeze it on the stain (front and back) and rub it in with my fingertip and wash. it takes stains out that have gone through the washer and dryer too - esp. grease type spots left after washing.

Looks like you've gotten some great ideas! Here's one more for you. I'm horrible at laundry...like, really bad. But my mom got me this:

and suddenly everything comes out. I've never had a lipstick stain, but with all the other horrible things it's gotten out, I'd think it would get that out, too. i have no clue so i asked my mom...the stain master. she actually 'invented' that scrubber on the top of shout. she called the company like 16 years ago and said hey...add a rubber scrubber to the top so i can scrub my stains out and low and behold they did. anywho...she said hairspray. apply, let set then scrub with a washcloth and warm water.
 
Another vote for Oxyclean..

fill a bucket/sink with warm water.. dump a good cup full of Oxyclean in.. leave the dress in the water a good 24 hours. IT WORKS WONDERS!!! I keep a bucket going in my laundry room at all times.
