Whinning

Seriously.. please tell me the 3 yo that belongs to me will eventually stop the whinning!! O MY GAWWWWSH!! This morning.. he didn't want oatmeal, he wanted the cinnamon sticks. Then is was Royal Rumble XI because he had to wear long sleeves *gasp* because it was actually 46 degrees here in Texas this morning. Then he didn't want to wear his lace up shoes, he wanted the velcro ones; however they are a bit damp still because I washed them yesterday. I had to drag him whinning out the door to the truck. "I want water.." is what I hear as I buckle him into his carseat. He starts to cry, the baby starts to cry   Fortunately he was quiet on the way to school, but geeeeeeeeeeez.. whine whine whine all day yesterday too. I tossed his hiney outside to play yesterday so I could get dinner started. I pray he doesn't whine until he's old enough to leave. I'll be completely gray or bald if it continues at this rate.

I hate that. Amelia, my 6 year old is the whiner here, my 3 year old doesn't whine at all, but she's got other issues LOL. I hate it...Amelia is sick today, lying on the couch, and OMG, I know she's not feeling well, but ughhhhhhh. Stop it!

My mom punished us if we whined, lol. She also didn't allow whining in her preschool classes she taught. She said if preschoolers could not whine for a whole day, then we darn well could deal too. She's say "do I hear whining??" and give us a look, and we'd shut right up, LOL!

Col, I know that look because my mother owns one too.. I have a few looks, however they don't work on him. GEEZ, the whine gene belongs to his father.. I'm sure of it because I was a perfect angel

Jamie.. I hope Amelia feels better soon, but I so understand the sick & whinning moments you are experiencing. It's usually DH who gets really whiney when he's sick.

My 11 y/o son still whines ALOT!! I have gotten to the point where if he starts whining I ignore him until he stops. He will not get anything with a whine.

I don't answer K when she whines. I tell her to talk in a big girl voice if she wants something, because I can't hear her when she whines. lol. It works everytime. She can turn the whine off like a faucet. :D

my 7yo can be a major whiner. oh probably not what you wanted to hear.

my 4yo doesn't whine as much. But she just gets MEAN.

I really wish I could tell you it's a phase....

My oldest started whining at about 2 years old and hasn't stopped - he's now 6. It drives me nutso too!

My almost 7yo still whines occasionally. But nowhere near as much as my 4.5yo does, she is the queen of whining! Some days I just wanna pull out the duct tape so it will stop for awhile lol! And my niece that I babysit is the same age and she is the queen of crying, that child cries over the stupidest little things it drives me crazy! This morning their preschool class went to the pumpkin patch and I swear she cried over half the time we were there because for some odd reason she thought her Mom was coming with us but she had to work like she does everyday! Then the kids rode the bus back to the school and when I got there to pick them up she was crying again! And then while I was fixing lunch she just randomly started crying while they were watching cartoons! She's the youngest of 4 so I don't know if she does it because it gets her attention and she gets her way or what but it's making me nuts!

He sounds exactly like my 3 year old daughter! She is a major whiner and just loves to change her mind then get mad when you tell her no. She changes her clothes like 4-5 times a day! And now that it's getting colder, she really needs to keep her shoes and jacket on but she just won't! I know how you feel Kelly...it's so frustrating!

My 5 year old is a whiner, too, and it drives me nuts! We always remind him that he won't get anything until he asks for it with his nice voice and then ignore him, so you'd think it would have stopped already. Nope.
