i got up, finished tidying up for the birthday party. Left the kids home with DH so i could go pick up the cake. I come back and Aidan's skin and hair is blue! He climbed up onto the counter and got into the food coloring. 
he had it all over him! i was so afraid that i would never get it out of his pale blonde hair, but it came out. he still has a few places on his skin thats slightly blue, but it'll fade. Then, when we tried to sing happy birthday to Emma, she runs off embarrassed and crying. she did this last year too. I sense a trend, lol. She has a blast though. When everyone left, my electricity went out. my brother called right after he pulled away to say that he saw the transformer down the street blow. so i called and they said that there were 27 people without power and that it should be on by 6:15. It went out at like 3 something, lol so we were without power for a few hours. that was boring. Emma and Chloe took naps. i ended up falling asleep as well. aaaand woke up to Aidan playing in the leftover cake. i tell ya, the fun never ends! here's a layout i just did with a picture i took. i took a few, but none really turned out cause we were in the kitchen in front of the big window so everything is sort of dark. oh well. i did get a few elsewhere that were okay. i'll share later once they are uploaded!
