How sad is it...

that I look forward to my weekly checkups now b/c it means I get some time to myself :o

I mean..I get to drive 35 minutes alone in the car and listen to what I want on the radio...not listening to cartoons on the dvd player..I get to sit in a quiet waiting room and read uninterrupted for a while...I get to stop by and pick up groceries all by myself, I get to eat lunch alone and not have to inhale my food b/c my 3 y/o gets restless...Yep...I'm looking forward to it :)

I did it too!!!!! You need time to yourself right now!!!! If I lived where you did I would babysit for you so you could have the whole day to yourself!

LOL, I remember those days. Now I look forward to...well...I guess I go nowhere without kids. :( Not cool. Maybe I need to schedule a Dr. appt. :p Enjoy your quiet time...you deserve it!

Oh man, I was never so lucky, lol...my MIL would drive me to my appointments...she'd look after Mason in the lobby while I went in to see the doctor, but yeah, no time to myself, for sure. And it always involved getting groceries and having lunch, too. LOL!

hahaha. I totally understand. I looked forward to being in the hospital for a couple of days when Noah was born. Isn't that terrible? Of course, it didn't work out that way since he was so sick, but I got one night to myself. lol

Haha, sad isn't it, when you start looking forward to drs appointments LOL. I completely understand LOL!

Enjoy it now while you can, because it's only going to get crazier with two ... it eventually gets easier, but it was really hard at first for me.

I completely understand! My trips to my appointments were almost exactly the same as that and I enjoyed every minute of them! lol :)

I totally understand......my big thing was when my oldest turned 12 so I could leave him with the rest of the kids an go to the grocery store ALONE!!!! They (the younger kids) just don't understand how exciting it is to do these little things alone!!! Now he is almost 15 and has his own life but my middle one will be 12 next summer so it is all good!!!

It's understandable. I get my quiet time in the car every morning and evening to and from work. It's 25 minutes (each way) of piece and quiet. No kids fighting, screaming.....tattling.....LOL

LOL, I so understand. I remember looking forward to my non-stress tests b/c I could just sit in peace and look at a magazine. I think I even fell asleep a couple times :D.

I've often wished I had to commute to work, just so I could have some relaxing time alone LOL. I refuse to let the kids take over my stereo in the van, they have invaded every other speck of my space, and that is a big no-no LOL!

Have fun, and enjoy your lunch!

alone time = best time! you deserve it, no matter how you have to get it.

gee...nikki...lookin a little pale to me...better go see ol' Doc. LOL!! :)

I so understand! I usually have to bring 1 or both boys with me to my OB appointments, but I had some dental work earlier this year where I had to go without them. The thought of several hours alone was the main thing that stopped me from dreading the appointments! Now there are about 4 hours a week when they're at preschool at the same time--my favorite 4 hours of the week, LOL.

I can TOTALLY relate Nikki! When I was pregnant with Connor, I had to get weekly (and then later twice-weekly) Non-Stress Tests. I LOVED going because I could leave Cam with my mom, go sit in a quiet room in a giant reclining chair, watching Oprah and listening to my baby's heartbeat. It was heaven. :)
