For some reason I take multiple photos of the same shot. And then I have a hard time deleting pics, even bad ones.

Anyone else do this? Or is it just me?

I take dozens each time I get the camera out. lol. It's starting to become an addiction. :D

I probably take 500 a month. My kids are photo-phobic so I have to take a bunch of shots to even get a few good ones! And I have a hard time deleting too!

I take alot and then I go through and get rid of the ones I don't like, or I'll try to make a good one out of the ones I have, especially when taking group shots, someone is always looking away for the camera, LOL!!

ME! We were gone around 48 hours last weekend and maxed out our memory card with over 450 pictures! :o DH has been known to take well over 100 at my son's baseball games.

I take tons because I know that some will not turn out. I would rather have to delete some then to not get a good one - the reason that I love digital!! I do have a hard time deleting them though, unless they are really bad!

I take a lot as well. You never know if the shot is going to turn out good or not. Sometime's it's even hard to tell on a digi camera.

I'm right there with ya girl. 317 from the pumpkin patch the other weekend. 57 from today when my 3yo and I were making/baking a blackberry cobbler. I take loads and loads of pics because I might just get ONE good one. I hate the delete button too. :o

Nope, it's just you, Meems.

It's ALWAYS you.

It's ONLY YOU.

I took over 100 photos of Tiger 2 weeks ago when it was nice outside and we were playing with her. This is actually a smaller number than I expected and I was only outside for 15 minutes.

I  taking photos :)

But I do delete.

Waaay too much picture taking here. But I'm taking of my 2 kids, so between the running off, fake smiles, turning at the wrong moment, etc. I'm lucky to get a few decent ones per photo session. (Really good photos? I'm lucky to get one or two of each kid a month.) The truly terrible ones are easy to let go, but after that it's harder. My happy medium is to burn them ALL to DVD 'just in case' then keep only the better ones on my HD.

I take a TON as well...and need to be better about deleting the bad ones. With the editing powers of Photoshop, I tend to save more "so-so" photos than I should. But, then again, I'm just starting to feel comfortable deleting old scrapping items I no longer use...baby steps!! :)

I take a ton, and then have a hard time deleting even the bad ones. I currently have 1500 in Lightroom (from August to present) and need to get rid of the ones I'm not going to scrap!

I take a lot but I am good about deleting them. DH takes tons and tons of photos. His method is point the camera in the general direction & keep pressing the button, some of them have to turn out ok. Faced with 500 photos from an overnight camping trip, mostly of blurry trees, I have no choice but to delete. :)

Pick me Pick me!!! I took 145 Sunday at the zoo and didn't delete one of them....you just never know when one of the very talented designers here might come out with a blurry elephant kit and man I'll be set on pictures to scrap!!! :p :D :D :D

I take way toomany too! It's nothing totake 125 any normal day. Special occasions, well, I always clear my card first!! :D I don't delete much either, just the pics that have no kids in them because they ranaway too fast, or sometimes one where I get theback of their head...unless it's a cute backside shot, I do save those!!

*raises hand*

I take oodles of photos and usually only end up with a handful of good ones from those. And yet, I can't bring myself to delete the bad ones unless they are really, really bad, lol.

I'm hoping that once I can get a good DSLR my photographs will improve leaps and bounds.

I take tons and I don't delete. It's not worth the effort for me! And space is cheap.

Seriously. We are a completely different generation of mothers. Our kids will have nearly every day of their lives photographed... compared to the handful I have from when I was a kid. You know, taking the film to the Photomat, filling out the envelope, picking them up a week later, we ended up just getting holidays, trips, and birthdays... now it's my boys picking their nose watching Spongebob. You never know what will set me off.

We have such a different lifestyle than our mothers, and our kids will have it totally different, too.

FOr me it goes in spurts. I dont do alot of everyday activities like watching tv or whatever but when we are doing an activity whether it is just playing in the yard or at the park to going to a theme park I take alot. I take alot on holidays and those kinds of things too. I should start trying to document everyday life too I think. I do not have any photos of my childhood. My dad was a photographer and he took alot of us as kids but there were some issues when I was a little older and my mother decided to burn all the photos she had of all of her children.

LOL - I'm right there with you :D I just got some photos printed for the first time in about three years (terrible I know), and I had trouble narrowing it down to just 1500 photos to print - LOL! And, I've taken 16,500 photos since Josh was born (only 14 months ago)!! I never delete them because I feel guilty like I'm erasing a memory of him or something... I'm a bit snap happy - LOL!
