So most of you have seen my thread about the awful customer service I have received from MPT in the last month (mainly, none). I have posted at DST and contacted them three times, with no response. Then I see this thread over at DST of a woman gushing about the wonderful customer service she got and how they got back to her in 24 hours. As if that wasn't bad enough, then at the end of the thread is a long post by Prabithia about how they have had some problems, and thanking the woman for clearing their name and telling her they are sending her the prints OVERNIGHT. I think my brain exploded.
What bothers me the most...why should I have to post in a public forum, and now send a PM to the person just to get customer service, when other people are getting it within 24 hours. I have serious questions about the practices of this company, and I am disappointed b/c I really liked them and got great prints. Ugh...sorry, had to rant...don't mind me.

That's really crappy. Maybe you should post in that same thread about how you still have not received any response and you would like to know why.

I did that, and I did send a private message. It is sad because I wasn't upset about the misprints...but now I just want everyone to know how some people are treated by their company.

Well that's really sucky then.
I'm really bad coming up with solutions like this so...I dunno, but I really hope it gets worked out for you. Bad customer service irks me.

Updating that since I sent the PM, I have already received a message back, and they are working to resolve my problem. Apparently, my three emails have gotten lost.:blink:
I just hope this all ends well, I really don't like being an unhappy customer.

Maybe they should try fixin their email system, the jerkoffs.
Stuff like that makes my head want to explode. And, I would never order from them again.

Yeah, I am working with them to get the prints that I missed. It's still upsetting, especially since all three of my emails were "lost."
I do believe that the company is just having difficulty keeping afloat, so I hope that they will get it straightened out soon.
I would be really upset, but right now I am in a great mood b/c I am playing hookey from school tomorrow to go to Natalie's Halloween party at school. Apparently, only Daddy can get her costume together the way she likes, so I am taking a day with my girl. I will post pictures as soon as I get them.

I think they are in way over their heads. They've had SO many problems. And Prathiba wasn't that nice to me when I posted a review at DST... she doesn't take bad reviews very well and once even threatened to stop browsing DST after one bad review. That thread you're talking about at DST... did you catch it before she edited it? The woman received SOMEONE ELSE'S pages. :blink: And a number of other ppl. chimed in that they had the same problem with their orders. And then MPT said they have a 0.4% (I think that was the percent) error rate. I don't believe it.

No, I had missed that...or didn't see it in my blind rage. Over the last hour or so, she has resolved my problem, and sent me a coupon to have the prints redone. I do think though that the only reason it got taken care of is because I started to put up a stink. I don't believe that three emails were lost, and if they were, I believe that it would be an issue that would need to be addressed.
I think that if you put yourself out there like that, you have to be willing to hear the good and that bad.

I haven't read all the response here (but I did in your other thread Aaron) but just wanted to let you know I really truly believe nothing was done to you (or anyone else) intentionally!!! When MPT first "opened" I had 2 orders and had no problem with the first but HORRIBLE problems with the 2nd ( it came to them corrupt and they had to hand sort 250 prints, it took a month to get to me, I was missing 30 + Lo's and had duplicates of 30+ more). I communicated back and forth with CS for weeks and all was good every one of my messages went through and I got all of theirs.
Fast forward to a week ago when I wanted to place another order and I sent email after email with no response, nothing was going through their contact us page either. I knew they were not ignoring me because in the past I had always gotten a response in less then 24 hours. It was like my emails and "notes" were just getting sucked into cyber space...never to be seen again.
I did end up PMing Prabithia and got a response from her in like less then 12 hours. Yes it was very frustrating and certainly ticked me off and was an inconvenience for me but I guess I just realized that we are all only human and technology isn't perfect and mistakes are going to be made. Then I was just thankful that Prabithia does hang out at DST for me to directly PM her.
So I just wanted to let you know that I have BTDT and am sorry that you are too, but I'm glad that they are working with you now to resolve your problems!!! I really hope it all works out and you get your precious memories in your hands real real soon!!!!

Yeah apparently there were a couple that got the wrong prints.
Aaron, this totall sucks, and if you want to stay in business, you don't operate like that. I wouldn't care about anything else, I'd just take my business elsewhere. I mean, I did customer service for Jaclyn for over a year at her site, and NO ONE waited more than 1-2 hours (unless it was a Sunday and we were closed) for a response. It is ridiculous, especially working in CS myself, and I am one of those, if I am unhappy, I don't shop there anymore. That's probably why I only have a handful of digi stores I shop at LOL

That is just not right!! Why didn't she offer to send you your prints overnight? That really stinks Aaron, I don't blame you for being ticked off.

I am amazed at how many people have received the wrong prints or not all of them. That is just bad.

I saw the thread over at DST. Even though they screwed up her order, she was still gushing about them being great. But, other people came in as well......talking about how they didn't receive all of their layout's along with other people's layouts mixed up in their's. Not one customer, but several. I've heard more negative comments about MPT than positive. I will never use MPT for my printing services.
And how the heck do they loose three emails?? :blink:

Well, I never order at MPT because their shiping prices for international costumers (ME) are almost twice the price of the product itself... which I find ridiculous, plus I find their web site very difficult to navigate.
And finally I don't see how customer service e-mails are getting lost all the time, and we have to contact the owner at DST. That happened to me when I ask about the shipping price... they never got my mail and I had to post something to get the answer.
I think this girl Prabithia is working hard, but her crew... not so much

Your story has really warned me to stay away from there, Aaron! I despise bad customer service so I will definitley not order from them ever!

I did one order with them, in August when I was supposed to get that crazy coupon code for lots and lots of free prints. Well, the code never came (dispite my emails and messages) so I missed out. I loved the prints I got, and they got to me in one week - which is pretty good living in Canada. I was missing one print, that I *know* I uploaded, but decided it wasn't worth chasing them down and the headache everyone else had gone though. To get someone elses prints, that's just INSANE. no business opperates like that!! Too bad, I wanted to like them. :(
I will keep printing at Costco. They have high quality prints, and they are always the next day pick up, they've never lost my order and I KNOW where to find them!! *LOL* For photobooks, I'm not going to bother with Artscow, I am thinking of trying Inkubook or VioVio though.

I do my prints at Price Smart (similar to Costco) and they are inexpensive, fast nice quality.
And about Photobooks, I think Artscow is a good choice for non US costumers. They usually take like 2 weeks to get your things, but that is the average on any purchase for me... LOL. So far I'm very happy with everything I've bought.
I've heard great things about VioVio, but for now I'm sticking with AC because I have like 20 Photobooks free... LOL

Honestly, I think they are in over their heads. I don't believe that all the Contact Us and emails are getting lost cause that's been going on for months now. Wouldn't you fix that ASAP if you were an online business? The only way to get a response from them from I have seen is to post a thread at DST with their names in the title. Sorry you have had such issues with them.
