I did my wall calendars at ArtsCow (last year used Shutterfly)
The top LO is 8.5 X 11 (landscape) and the grid with the dates is pre-made by them, you just have to personalize the dates (like mom's birthday, anniversary, and stuff like that)
If you want to give it a try let me know, I have one coupon for a free calendar (no shipping included wich is $7.99)

I do 8.5x11 cardstock and I print them myself. DH has a spiral binding machine at his office so he binds it for me.

Great question because I'm wanting to know the same thing.
Dumb question.......what are the CD calendars? Are they small calendars?

They are calendars that fit into a CD jewel case (bend the cover backwards until it stands up on your desk). They are a wonderful compact size, and very popular in our family!

I'm going to use the 5x7 size for desk calendars this year though.. my mother was um.. slightly technology challenged by the CD calendar. LOL

Yep yep. Or, for my mother, she's getting the $1 acrylic stand up frame so she can just slide things in and out.. or else I will end up putting November's calendar in her frame and taking out April like I did yesterday.

SHoot, I made them 8x10 now everything is kind of cut funny. Don't know why 8.5x11 didn't dawn on me. I also make 5x7 ones, too, cause I didn't think people would figure out the whole CD calender thing.

My mom couldn't work out the CD thing either when I did last year. Truth to tell I had to look at photos of how to set it up myself.:)
