Family History Ideas

Ok- for Christmas I am putting together a personal/family history book of my husband's grandparents. We have all asked them questions and I am looking for a creative/fun way to put it all together. Has anyone seen any albums like this, or elements that would work well? I am going to try to focus on the journaling part, but the scrapper in me can't handle just plain and boring!
