There's something wrong with my dog. She's wobbly and acting drunk. I don't think she can see well, she's squinting and when I pulled her lids open her eyes look really glossy. It just happened in the last 3 hours, she was fine all day and eating/acting her usual self. We don't have any anitfreeze or rat poison or anything laying around. Our other dog's fine.

DH is at the vet's right now waiting. Please send positive thoughts!

I have said a prayer for her. How old is she? My friend's older dog just had a stroke and was acting similarly to yours. The good news is that she is getting better. I hope everything works out for the best for her. (hug)

She just turned a year old. We got her and our other dog after we lost our rottie to cancer last year. I don't wanna go through this again so soon. It seems like she got poisoned or something, I'm hoping it's just an ear infection, maybe something's messing with her equilibrium? But the glossy eyes worry me. Even when she's sitting or laying down she still wobbles and has to plant her paws down to "catch" herself.

:( Oh, Sam, I'll be sending you and your pooch tons of good vibes and will definitely be thinking of you.

Sam, my most positve thoughts and prayers for your furkid. There're not many here who don't know that I love my furkids deeply. I've been there, Sam and wish her to be well very soon.

Hugs xx

Sending some postive thoughts her way and yours...I hope the vet can figure out what is wrong and get her fixed up in a hurry.

Well DH just came back a few minutes ago. They ruled out any type of poisoning b/c she's able to go to the bathroom fine. They think it's a neurological condition because of her motor skills and her sensitivity to touch and light. She was yelping when the vet was listening to her heart. We won't be able to tell for sure till we see a neurologist who won't be there till Monday.

We have to keep her in dim light b/c her eyes are dilated. It's just so weird that she was such a normal dog till today. They're even saying there are signs of a problem with her brain. Ugh, if that is the case, I hope it's something we can keep under control. I don't wanna have to put another dog down again.

That happened to one of my dogs, but it only lasted about twenty minutes, but I saw why it happened. She was playing around with one of the other dogs, we were out playing fetch, and wham, they butted heads pretty hard, like they say, it "knocked her for a loop". Is it possible she could have been playing around with the other dogs and something happened when you weren't watching, or maybe she could have fallen?? Just a thought as to why it would happen "out of the blue".

I am sending prayers in your direction.

Prayers and positive thoughts are coming your way for sure! I hope your furbaby come out of this fine, poor thing. She must be so frightened not understanding what is happening to her.

{{Hugs}} I hope you get some answers. It must be frustrating to not know what is going on completely.

Here is a link to anything which might be a poison to dogs. If you suspect she might have been poisoned check the list and see if anything might have been something she could have gotten. Im sure she will be ok. If she is sick she will have a dry nose I think and most likely be running a fever too. Anyhow here is the link. I hope she will get better quickly

Oh Sam!! Sorry girl! I hope they can figure out what exactly is wrong and help your doggie!! Lots osf P&PT your way!! ((hugs))

Thanks so much for your Ps and PTs, they really helped my baby! She's back to being her playful self again. We won't know what happened for sure till we see the neurologist, but I just wanna observe her for the next few days before triggering a bunch of tests. I'm so grateful for your thoughts and advice!
