How old were you when you stopped Trick or Treating?

hmm, maybe 8?

my kids 4 and 7 have already stopped LOL. they didn't go last year and aren't this year.

I was 14. Honestly, I was so done with it years earlier but I went to appease my mother. I didn't go at 13 because of a leg injury, so my junior high best friends dressed me up as a punk rocker and made me do the rounds the following fall (our freshman year of HS). I think we hit 10 houses before we said, "Ok, done!" :D

We were suppose to quit???

LOL.... probably 13-ish, until my niece came along when I was 16 and then I took her and she wanted me to dress up too!

I went with my 2 bffs at the time. I was 18 and they were 17. But it was 1971, we lived in a small town, everyone knew us and we didn't take things away from little kids, lol. But then, those really were different times from now. We were grown up, but we weren't so grown up we couldn't still bring out the kids in ourselves, lol.

I think I was 12 or 13...just wasn't fun...I liked handing out the candy after that....or went to party's with friends...

I'm with Brooke on this one...I think I was at least 17 or 18 (I went in my senior year of high school) and we lived in the country near a SMALL "village" (maybe 300 people with no big cities even close to us) and everybody knew everybody. Halloween with my brothers and sister and friends are some of my FONDEST memories!!!

I think I was in about 6th or 7th grade...those were the days when you still needed to wear a snowsuit under your costume to keep warm in Upper Michigan. Even the candy wasn't enough of a motivator to get me out in the freezing temps! :)

Probably older than I should have been! Maybe sophmore year of HS? There just wasn't anything else going on in my town, so my friends and I kept going out.

I was around 13 I think. I seem to recall going to a Halloween party in the 9th grade instead of trick or treat. Halloween parties then became regular events. They were huge parties with games, costume contests, prize giveaways, food and dancing with a DJ, usually sponsored by a radio station. You had to be high school to go and if you were 18 you could buy beer instead of soda.

Those were some great parties

I don't think I've ever really stopped dressing for Halloween (though I didn't do it this year), but I really don't remember when I stopped going to houses to trick-or-treat. I know I must have stopped before I was 16 - that's when we moved to a house right off a major roadway and it wasn't safe to go house-to-house with all the traffic. But I probably stopped before then, after I started going to a private school when the rest of the neighborhood kids were going to public school, so I was kind of shunned...

I really can't remember. It had to have happened at some point, LOL! We moved right before I went into high school and I don't recall ever ToTing at that house... sooooo liiiike 14ish. *shrug*
