Do we have a Haunted Bowling kit?

I took the two younger boys (teens) to sister's house for Halloween and to celebrate one of my niece's birthday. The boys dressed up and went trick or treating in my sis' neighborhood. Later we went to the bowling alley at the Air Force Base for her birthday party. We had two lanes...one with bumpers and one without. The boys and their uncle were on the lane (#15) without bumpers. The next lane worked fine...theirs appeared to be *haunted*...we had the dimmed lights and cosmic bowl going on.

One of the guys would throw a ball...knock down 7 pins...STRIKE! it would say on the overhead scorekeeper! :w00t: ...but the sweeper would set the 3 pins back up...they had to bowl again with a second ball to get it to clear...knock down any more pins...no additional score. Next person...throws...8 pins down with a split...STRIKE! the scorekeeper would tally! Next person would throw...miss ALL the pins...3 pins down says the scorekeeper!

Meanwhile the girls were bowling with bumpers...the balls refused to bounce off the bumpers and if hit, the balls would just follow along the bumpers and then knock down balls. Scorekeeper was accurate on every throw on the girl lane.

We were rolling on the floor with each ball the guys threw! It was hilarious! They sometimes were getting 3 strikes in a row...would try to miss...and would still get points for knocking down at least 3 pins!

One time a ball went into the gutter...popped out of the gutter near the end and knocked down a bunch of pins...SPARE! I tell you our sides were splitting from all the laughing.

So........do we have a haunted bowling kit? LOL Suggestions on ways to scrap this? I have ONE picture I made sure to take where the "scorekeeper" displayed a strike and you could see pins still standing in the alley.

Sharon--
Sadly those are just military base bowling allys..lol at least the ones i've been too---the ones out in California at Travis were well known for it-- :)) Always some kinda fun---oh well just my 2 cents...LOL

ps i dont know if u remember me from cheryl and rebeccas old place or not :))

Maybe you could use one of the Halloween kits and throw a few of the Dani/Traci bowling kit elements on it.

Just work with what you have. Every photo doesn't have to have it's own kit.

GASP! Is that true?! LOL I'm such a theme scrapper...LOL I was really just kidding though...didn't expect one...just thought I would share the strange happenings on Halloween night at the bowling alley

I thought maybe ours was just haunted for the evening. lol The guy actually told us they had just replaced the mechanism for that lane...my son said "replaced? why didn't you just fix it?"...totally innocent question. lol

Yes I remember you! Nice to see you again...are you hooked on this site too?

Good idea...I think that is what I will do! I'm not one for mixing kits very often...but I think in this case...it's exactly what it calls for!

Hee hee thanks for the giggle today! Gee I'm recognized for something! ...and to think you all haven't seen EVERY bowling layout I have done. lol Well dig those pictures out...scrapping a hottie at the bowling alley would be a twist on these layouts of kids at the bowling alley...for sure!

Speaking of which...I probably have 8 bowling layouts to do PLUS the halloween ones! ...and that doesn't count any from pre-bowling-league-days! lol

Oh!!! My 13yo got 3 strikes in a row yesterday! I asked him if THAT lane was haunted too...and he said "no honestly I GOT those!" lol :w00t:

LOL!!! yw, giggledom is my business. if i got paid for it, i'd be rich! :D i think it is great that your boys are so into bowling and are good at something they love! and getting a 'turkey' (yes...i know the lingo) is awesome!!! woot!! you should buy a celebration kit for those photos and just add a couple bowling pins and what not to that layout. :)

I just don't understand why you have to scrap EVERY bowling photo. Lol!

Oh goodness...I don't scrap EVERY photo...or by now my family room wall would be filled with about 10 scrapbooks for each boy. ROTFL

Actually I do a one page layout for each boy for their book each week of bowling...I put one or two pics on it...but the main focus is their "scores"...they get a printout of their games...and it's either all these printouts all over the house ... or the results nicely typed on a page and in their book (and the printouts tossed)! lol It's really just a way to clean up all those papers from my house. lol
