Need ideas

My MIL's bday is on the 27th, I would like to make her something hybrid but I am not sure what. Does anyone have any good ideas?

What about Tia Bennett's Button Tree!?!?!

It was a big "rage" last year starting about this time. Here is one I made for my Dh's boss's wife for Christmas, but the best thing is you can use any color of buttons and make it a fall tree, or autumn tree, or birthday tree ect....

I got everything at the dollar tree except the pins and I think the whole thing cost me like 12 bucks to make.....six of those dollars were the pins!!!
 
OK I just searched my old posts over at DST and I found where I listed my $$ spent:

I got a 7 inch white cone at the Dollar Tree: $1.00
2 packs of 100 white buttons at the Dollar tree: $2.00
3 packs of 100 pearlized buttons at Wal Mart: $8.64
Glass candle holder at Wal Mart for the base: $1.97

Totla of $ 13.61!!!

I alread has some white buttons so if i didn't I might have had to buy another 100 pack adding another $1 in there!!!

You could always get bigger buttons.
p.s. You could get a big glass jar candle from AC Moore or Michaels, keep the candle and use the lid. Or you could give the candle and use the lid.
