So when I went to pick them up all the mommies were asking who thier kids voted for. My friend Ana's son said he voted for Brocoli Obama and I almost peed myself.
That's all.

That is sooo cute!
I had a full grown woman at my son's preschool say to me that her son called the nickelodeon vote and voted for (and this is her words not his) "Rocky Alabama -- or whatever the black guy who's runnings name is -- I can't keep anyone running straight.":blink:
I think this is the first year where you wouldn't have a problem with that..a "black" man, an old man, a woman and a middle aged man.
Boy that's hard. Hope she didn't vote.

This has been a huge discussion in our house every day for weeks. My kids always want to know what "we" are. I tell them I know what I am, but I don't know what they are, they have to decide.
So Natalie, she's almost 5,likes the boy with the white hair.
Derek liked Obama until he realized she liked McCain, then he had to be like herbecause they are twins and she is his BFF.
And the big kids are all McCain all the time.
I have never tell what party I am. I don't want to influence them like that. But somehow, they think like me.

That's just wrong...on so many levels. I hope you took her Voter Registration card away from her :p

On a more serious note...my kids are out of school today. Our school district decided to take the day off because many of the schools are used as polling places (not sure why this was necessary...but whatever). Anyway, they had the vote yesterday. I'm not sure how this happened, but they cancelled each other out :p But, I'm proud of them both for having opinions and voting the way they believe - even if it's different from me and dh.

While I was in line Friday for early voting, the woman behind me said, "I've voting for Barette (yes, like a hair clip) Obanya!" I wanted to turn and say to her, "Sorry, there's no one running with that name." But, I was nice & didn't say anything! lol

*sigh* lol..it doesn't matter who you're voting for, just at least be informed enough to know the candidates names...

My almost 5 yo whispered to me today that she didn't want to vote for "John McCain" but she wanted to vote for "The Pretty Lady". I had to explain to her that she would be voting for both, lol! (we're going to the polls as soon as dh gets home.)

lol, Owen's class had an "election" today with the candidates being Micky, Grinch, Elmo and Hello kitty....After school today I asked him if he voted, he pointed to his sticker and said "I'm the president of the United States of America." Then I asked who he voted for and he says "Jock Omama...I mean Jock Obama" LOL! then I asked him where he heard about him and he says "At school, from the president, Jock Obama is the president of the United States of America" lol.

My son came home yesterday and announced that he was going to vote for McCain in the school election. I managed to talk him around to Obama with the "McCain/Palin don't want to protect polar bears as an endangered species" argument. We're all about the animals here. :)

All of my kids voted today and they all voted for McCain but it seems that Obama got the majority of votes at each of their schools!!! Oh well, I guess that means the kids actually DO listen to what their parents talk about!!!!
On a side note, I asked my nephew today if he voted for Obama because his Mom likes him and he said "NO, I voted for him because I like him." I asked why he liked him and he just said "because I do, OK Auntie Chris" then walked away from me.....we NEVER spoke of it again!!!
