Ok so everyone knows my future BIL has been living with us for 4 months, and pretty much driving me insane.

Today is mine and Jordan's 3 year anniversary. So we went straight from work out to dinner (Sushi, YUM!).

FBIL calls us as we're driving home to ask where we are. Um. Out. Alone. For our anniversary. "Oh so you already ate?" YES! HANG UP THE PHONE!

So we get home after a traffic detour. No big deal, took back roads, etc etc.
Get home, and he's here (where else would he be right?). And starts talking about his commute home (stuck in traffic, got lost, blah blah blah I don't care). Then he says:

Well I figured you guys would want to be alone.

THEN GET THE HE!! OUT OF THE HOUSE! Go out to eat! Go to a movie! GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE FOR THE LOVE!!! :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

/rant.
 
It seems to me several of you have BiLs that seriously need to get a life. Perhaps they could form a support group? Maybe all move in together? Or maybe we should just round them all up, form a circle around them and take turns kicking their asses?

Sorry for the loserness presence on your anniversary, Col. What a schmuck.

We just got done enjoying the anniversary VERY much, if you catch my drift :p

Thanks guys! I almost laughed at loud when I heard him say that, and I HAD to share.

And yes, the 29 year old FBIL DOES need to get a life and get the heck out of my home. But my FI disagrees, so for the next few months I keep silent until I REALLY can't take it anymore and kick him out myself.

Maybe you could introduce BIL to some nice people and encourage them to invite him out? That way he has something to do and might get out of your hair more often and you dont have to be the bad guy by telling him how you feel (and in my experience as Ive had everyone of my sisters live with me when you hold this kinda thing in it eventually comes out all at once at the worst time). Encourage him to get involved in something fun...leave flyers or ads out for him to see so that he might actually want to go out. I dont really know you or your situation but from what Ive seen you post about him it sounds like he just really doesnt have a clue and is a little lonely? Sorry if that is presumptuous but just thought that subtle hints might go over well without him actually having to get the kick in the rear LOL

No idea when he's leaving. He's on a 5 year contract. But it could end tomorrow. It's totally up in the air. Which is why he's living with us. But if the contract doesn't look like it's ending come January or so, I'll be going to blows with Jordan over this.

Thanks for the ideas Jessica. He has no friends down here because he's only here temporarily for work. He normally lives at home with their parents (AT 29 :cursing: ). He has like 2 friends even back there where he grew up. He's just one of those anti-social, I'd rather play on my computer or play video games, type guys. We invite him out to watch football and he never comes, so it's not like we haven't TRIED to get him out. Obviously I don't have anything against spending time on the computer, lol, but I actually HAVE a life, kwim?

Julie, I don't know if he ever has, but I HIGHLY doubt it. I've seen the home videos. He's always been a weird quiet shy guy.

Thanks Paula :) I'll be ok for a few more months hopefully. I have good weeks and bad weeks with him.

And as a friend of mine pointed out this weekend, and I try and remind myself of this each day, it seems like the biggest thing in the world right now, but in the grand scheme of my life and my marriage to Jordan this is but a small speedbump. A small, annoying, speedbump. :p
 
That really sucks...at least you enjoyed yourselves!!! Happy Anniversary girl!!! I hope he gets out and soon.

Also, I think you should have really celebrated your anniversary very loudly and maybe he would have got a clue! ;)
 
Col, I am POSITIVE there is some other video game socially non-functioning gurl out there that is perfect for your BIL.

JUST MAKE SURE SHE HAS HER OWN APARTMENT. :)

I absolutely DID Pam! LOL! This might be TMI, but I'm saying it anyway.
Normally the enjoyment is lessened because I can't be loud. As it is we have to close and lock the door, and turn the TV up really loud because Jordan is paranoid that he'll hear us.

Well last night I DEFINITELY didn't care, lol!

I KNOW LA! He has friends in NH that he does to visit sometimes. I pray that one of them is secretly in love with him and steals him far far away from my house.
