I saw it and liked it, but i'd actually forgotten the ending, lol. I remember now that dh's reminded me and I must admit, it was pretty freakin cool in my book; different, but cool.
What I really loved was that small reveal in the warehouse, where the box holding the ark of the covenant's lid had come off and showed it.

Hubby wants to see it very badly but I'm not sure when we will get to go.

It seemed to me like George Lucas had all these ideas that he just couldn't let go of. I know...let's do a movie about El Dorado...and telepathy...and commies...and aliens...who travel interdimensionally...
I actually think I liked it, but I was definitely

will i be disapointed? i mean, i know Harrison Ford won't live forever, but they won't be the same without him. I *heart* Harrison Ford!

I was TOTALLY
And I definitely think that it's cuz Lucas had ideas he couldn't let go of, and smashed them together into one movie.

IMO, it just wasn't the same as the first 3. He's definitely slowed down but he's still pret-ty dreamy.

Well, I did think it was a little strange, but honestly, I think ALL of the indy movies have VERY very weird/strange parts in them. I mean really, don't they? It was a little silly and some parts a little predictable, but it was okay. Definitely not the same as the first 3, but it helps that you know he is older and he's not trying to be young.

10 year or so ago the idea was to do "Indiana Jones & the Saucer Men from Mars" but the timeline to make Indy work with Roswell passed by the time they were finally able to make the movie. But I guess there just wasn't much action adventure availble for a "red scare' type movie so they included the saucer men to make up for it.
It was a good movie and I love Indy and I love Harrison Ford. I am also absolutely delighted Marion wasn't all botoxed up. If Shia carries on the franchise I'll watch it. But I'll wish it was still Harrison Ford

We couldnt get through it and gave up at the ridiculous jeeps driving through the jungle bit - it was just a lil too over the top comical or something for us. Kinda sad.

Dh and I just watched it on DVD this weekend. We were a little dissappointed in it. I think Harrison Ford did a great job as usual, but the whole thing was a little hokey and we didn't quite care for the alien theme of it. We did like that Marion came back in this one and that it was really her!

Completely. And not just Indy. The Star Wars flicks too.

I wasn't crazy about it, Harrison is looking old and he can't pull Indy anymore like he use to. I thought the editing was choppy. It's OK for watching at home, but if I paid movie prices for it, I'd be disappointed.
