I'm shocked!!!

I went in for my weekly doctor's appointment this morning and they checked me for the first time. I told Nate before the doctor came in that I thought I might be a centimeter dialated. She checked me and I am 3-4 cm dialated!!!! With the way I've been feeling lately, this little princess might be here before Thanksgiving!! :blink: I'm so anxious and emotional right now!!! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!! I'll keep you ladies posted!!
 
I wouldn't worry too much...I've been 3-4 cm dilated for weeks with all 3 of my kids. I'm surprised they didn't just fall out! It just happens sometimes, especially if it's not your first. But good luck!
 
I was dilated with all three of mine - but they were all early. LOL

DS was one week early; DD1 was five days early and DD2 was 4 weeks early.

I think you're in the safe zone now aren't you?
 
i was always a little dialated too. plus, i wouldn't worry...isn't full-term 38 weeks? i had maddie and lukas at 38 weeks...they just couldn't wait to come out. :)

37 weeks is full term. They told me they won't let me go past 39 weeks. So no matter what she'll be here in less than 2 weeks!!!
 
Aw! Take it easy..but you're over 37 weeks so you and baby should be fine. DS was a 35 weeker and he was fine :) I'm pretty sure I was dilated with him for a while before he was born...I hadn't been checked at all with him when I went into labor but when I got to the hospital I was 8 cm so I'm pretty sure I must have been dilating for some time lol.

oh ok! aren't you just elated about a new little one?!? it's been ages since i was prego. i forgot everything..lol!!
 
oooh!! Time to make sure you have everything done and ready! Schedule a time for a pedicure. Maybe scrap some 'quickpages' for yourself so you can show us this precious baby right away! :)
 
good luck!! i think i was a tad bit dilated with Aidan, my last one. but all my kids were late. like a week past their due dates. chloe was the lastest at almost 42 weeks. i was scheduled for an induction on a Tuesday which would have been 42 and she came on the Friday before. the were all stubborn, but born quickly at least.
 
Hooray for you! Just think, in a very short while, you will be able to meet your little one face to face. Such an exciting time!

I was dilated to 4 with my second and my doc stripped my membranes and she was here the next morning.
 
Oh, wow! Good luck. I know what you mean, when I had pre-term labor in the hospital and they went to check me, I figured I would be closed, but I was actually 3-4 cm. I was shocked.
