This Reindeer Food/People Puppy Chow/"Chex Mix 'n' chocolate 'n' peanut butter 'n' butter 'n' powdered sugar" stuff should be against the law.

Would y'all think less of me if I confessed to having eaten almost half a batch all on my own?

Ooooooh man that stuff is soooooo goooooood!! I would totally devour a WHOLE batch if I made it.
 
Well, I won't think less of you, especially because I did the same thing earlier this week. That stuff is so addicting! My 4yo keeps asking for more.

I used the Crispix recipe, which doesn't call for butter, so I justified eating so much of it because of that. :blink:
 
Ya melt a package of chocolate chips, like a cup and a half of peanut butter, and a stick of butter, then you mix in 9 cups of chex cereal (rice), then you let it cool a bit and toss it in a big bag with 1/2 (give or take) of a 2lb bag of powdered sugar.

It's dreamy... and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVILLE!
 
I just knew this thread would be bad... especially since you included the recipe. Now I have to make ANOTHER trip to the grocery store tomorrow (it will be my 4th since Friday afternoon) to get the stuff so I can have some...

MMmmmmmm I LOVE that stuff! I haven't had any in FOREVER.
Maybe I'll make some to take to pittsburgh for thanksgiving.......

made a double batch a month ago and did the same thing. it's repulsive if you think about the amounts of that crap i could eat in one sitting.

bottom line: not simmons approved.
