Do you use moisturizer?

Okay, so I know this is a bit random, but I'm curious if most people use moisturizer and what kind they use. My face has become super dry and I have no idea where to start. So, what do you use and why do you like it?

I have SUPER dry skin and I use the Equate version (available at wal-mart) of Neutrogena's daily facial moisturizer. Not greasy, no residue, and keeps my face soft. And because its the Equate brand, the price doesn't kill me!

You know, this is going to sound really really weird, but I swear it works. I have very sensitive skin, and every moisturizer I tried did weird things to my skin. So, I read somewhere about using vaseline as a moisturizer. I was skeptical, but I figured it was cheap to try. So for a couple of years now, when my skin starts getting dry, I'll put a little vaseline on the dry parts at bedtime. It works wonders!

(I can't believe I'm admitting this in a public forum for crying out loud).

I don't use anything on my face regularly, I never have. BUT, when I'm putting on makeup my dry skin sticks out like a sore thumb so I put some moisturizer on before applying anything - I got some from MicaBella (the brand of makeup I use) and it works well but it feels a bit heavy.

I have combination skin (dry cheeks; oily t-zone), and I use moisturizer everyday. If I don't use it my skin produces more oil because it gets dry, so if I keep it moisturized it helps curtail natural oil production. I use Neutrogena with SPF.

Edited: It's oil-free. I need a light moisturizer.

I use Exuviance skin care. It's wonderful. It's slightly higher priced than drug store stuff but well worth it. I used to work in beauty care and it was a line that just blew off the shelves when we would get stock.

I dont but probably should as I am getting older I am getting really dry skin and I am prone to breakouts on my chin/cheeks It bugs me and makes me feel really self conscious.

i do. i think i'm using some sort of Clean & Clear morning burst stuff or something. i'm about out. i have acne prone skin with dry T zone areas occasionally. i have to be careful what i use or i will break out. i usually ue Almay or Neutrogena stuff. same with make up.

I use Nivea Q10 face cream, twice a day. Once at morning and at night when I take off my makeup. It makes my face so nice and soft, and it prevents dry skin. I am prone to eczema on my eye brows (ugh...don't ask) and as long as I can remember to do this twice a day, it usually keeps it from flaring up, or if it does, not too badly.

I have to switch moisturisers depending on the season. In the summer, I use Clinique's Redness Solutions (because I'm prone to redness) and in the winter, when my skin is SOOOOO dry, I use Clinique's Moisture Surge. They're both really good and neither of them feel heavy at all. I LOVE the Moisture Surge and would use it all year but in the summer when it's humid, I don't need that much moisture. They're pretty pricey, but I have found, with my skin, I can't scrimp.

Thats not weird! My aunt has the most beautiful skin for an almost-seventy-year-old woman and she has used vaseline for the past 40 years as a moisturizer!!

I can't stand the "greasy" feel of it, so I don't use it. But I do get some really bad dry spots on my eyelids and I use it then.

I get eczema on my eyeLIDS, Jamie! So weird, huh?

My niece is an esthetician, so she keeps me in beauty products :D

I use Neova Day Therapy with SPF 20. On my eyes, I use Teamine eye cream.

I use Clinique's Acne Solutions (I have gotten more prone to acne as I have gotten older, who knew.) but when I need something more I use Estee Lauder's Daywear.

I steal my son's ProActiv moisturizing lotion. lol Works great on my face, itsn't greasy and helps with my break outs. hehehe Shhh, don't tell him I sneak his beauty products. ;)

I love Aveeno products, but I've been using Oil of Olay's Regenerist creme, and I have to admit, I love it, too.

For just daily stuff, I love Rachel Perry's Cucumber Calendula moisturizer, I carry it with me in my purse and put it on when I need a pick me up, I love how it smells.

I use always use moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Here in Arizona, you need to wear something every day. I usually use Dove or Aveeno.

do i need some? if so, where do i find it. i like pick me ups.

OMG, yes! It's pretty hard to find, so I usually order it in a 3-pack from the intertron. I keep one in my fridge all summer long and everytime I open the fridge and stare inside, I remember to slather this on and I smell yummy and feel wide awake. Even Josh loves the way this stuff smells.

It's water-based, so no greasy feeling at all, which is the part I love. I discovered this shiz when I was working at Ren Faire for years and felt like I'd never feel clean again, I was just so dry and tired all the time, and one of the girls I worked with was a pro make up artist at the time and said she kept it on the set because it was light enough to go over foundation.

I'm really bad about having any sort of skin care regime, but I have to moisturize, especially in the winter when I get really dry skin. I use mostly Aveda products. They're not cheap, but any time I run out and try substituting something else, I'm really not happy with it, so I tend to just stick with Aveda.

I've used Oil of Olay for a long time as well (not since age 5, but probably for 5+ years). I use it because that's what my Nana always used and she has beautiful skin, even at 78! :)

I use moisterizer everyday. I recently just swiched to the olay regenerist. I love it it is a light yet very effective moisturizer. Love it.

I use Philosophy Hope in a Jar. It's been pretty good for me, I just ran out and have been substituting oil of olay and getting break outs. I hate being 34 and still breaking out!

Me too! I just started taking Accutane :( I finally had had it after trying about everything I could! That's the reason my skin is so dry right now. Accutane basically temporarily shuts down oil production from your Sebaceous glands and then once you finish your round of treatment, you regain some oil production, but at a much reduced rate. It's effective permanently after one round of treatment on 75% of patients.
