Recommend some.
I'm a huge country fan, but I like rock, oldies and some pop. I'm totally not in tune with what's popular outside of country radio. I bought my first two songs last night. Sweet Thing by Keith Urban and Feel that Fire by Direks Bently.

You must get everything Sugarland's ever made. For real. I'm sure you love them since you love country.
I'm also totally jonesin' on Ne-Yo's new CD. He's R & B/pop, but NO rap. It's amazing and such a nice change from what's on the radio most of the time. I especially love his new songs 'Miss Independent' (fast), 'Why Does She Stay?' (slow, beautiful love song), 'Closer' (fast), & 'Single' (fast).
You know I had to give my props to the New Kids On The Block's new stuff. I'm sure Sara will chime in here, too, with that recommendation. They also have a version of 'Single' which Ne-Yo sings in, but evidently, he would lose all cred if he had that same song on his album, so the one on his CD is just him. *lol* I also love their songs 'Summertime,' 'Twisted,' and 'Stare At You.' Please avoid 'Lights, Camera, Action,' 'Grown Man,' & 'Full Service' as they are totally cheesy over-the-top s*x songs.
Do you have Keith Urban's and Brad Paisley's new 'Start A Band' song? That's fun. Toby Keith has a new one: 'She Never Cried In Front of Me.' Not a huge Toby fan generally, but I'm really diggin' that song. Jeff & I saw Lady Antebellum in concert this past Spring, and they rocked. Great harmonies. I'd pick up anything from their album.
Of course, David Cook has a new CD out. Beyonce's two new songs 'If I Were A Boy' (slow) & 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' (fast) are fun.
I love love love Dave Barnes & Marc Broussard. They're both singer-songwriters although Marc definitely has a bluesy-soul flair to his work. Check out anything by Dave & Marc's new CD has some great stuff: 'Keep Coming Back,' 'Real Good Thing,' 'When It's Good,' & 'Evil Things' (surprisingly, a slow love song).
I have tons more, but I'll let you check that schtuff out for now. :)
HTH!

I love Sugarland, I have their first 2 cds, really need to get the newest. I saw them in concert when there was 3 of them. LOL!
Yep, bought Brad Paisley's new CD, love that Start a Band, and I have the New Kids new CD, but I only bought the one with 13 songs, not 17, so maybe I should get the other ones.
THanks for the suggestions girls. I've been looking at the David Cook one.

P.S.
This is how I sometimes decide which tunes I'll be getting next:

Do you have any Daughtry? He/his band is awesome. Nickelback's new song 'Gotta Be Somebody' is cool. Oooh, I love Jesse McCartney's 'Leavin' (fun pop) & Metro Station's 'Shake It' (fun pop). Pink's 'So What' is a fun one to sing. Saving Abel's 'Addicted' has HORRIBLE lyrics *lol* (not cursing, but s*xual), but it is actually addicting to listen to. Colbie Caillat is a fun young female singer-songwriter you might enjoy; her songs 'Realize' & 'Bubbly' have been on the radio, but most of her stuff is good. Of course, you can't NOT buy Britney's new 'Womanizer.'
Okay, now I'm really done. Maybe. :p
