I've done it now!

OMG! I think I've really done it now. I'm so mad at myself. It snowed this morning and everything was still slick, so when I was walking to the car to take the girls to school I slipped. That was bad enough, but I heard something POP in my ankle and it's really bad. I didn't think I could get up, but I managed to get to the car and get the girls to school. I was able to push the gas pedal very lightly, but I had to operate the break pedal with my left foot. I've been laying on the couch for an hour with my foot up and the pain is just getting worse and it's swelling. I'm on hold with the clinic to see if I can get in today (not sure how I'll get there). I can't believe this... what if I have to stay off my foot... who is going to take care of my family? :cursing::cursing:

Oh man, Laura, i hope they can get you in today. You have any friends that could take you if you need to go, or any family?

Ouch! Hopefully it's just a sprain! stay off it as much as possible, keep it elevated. ice for 24hours. motrin and tylenol will help with the pain and inflammation.

this is a terrible time for something like that to happen!

Coming from experience, if you DID break it, you'll still be able to get around. It'll be awkward at first, but it'll be possible! :) But hopefully it's a sprain or something easy like that!
