Seriously....
Are they designed specifically to drive parents nuts?
We have two of the Madagascar ones now and if I hear "I like to move it move it" or "Allright boys...I know that's right" one more time....I might lose it.
Bree....any McInsight on this theory.
Ooooooohhhhh is this a conspiracy theory?

LOL, sure they are only made to make us mad!!! and to have more "crap" at home

Haha - we have those two too and I hid them yesterday to see if they'd be missed. If not, into the trash they go.

They ARE! We had Alex the lion talking to us from the back seat on the way to work this morning - and there weren't even any darn kids in the car!!

They are cute, but the sound is so annoying!
Just before we went in walmart we had gotten the one that says "Just smile and wave boys". Ah, the looks we got...

Yep, they are made to make kids beg and drive parents insane. I avoid McDonalds at all costs so that I don't have to add more junk toys to the already insane amount that we have. I would rather hit up Culver's or DQ where they get ice cream instead of a toy.

LOL, I'm sure they're designed that way on purpose. I try not to get my kids talking ones and stock up when they're the good ones (Hot Wheels, Barbies, etc). Though I still get some talking ones. The worst one was the Shrek gingerbread man "NOT the gumdrop buttons" hahaha. Just shoot me now...

YES - my kids loved Gingie - I think cuz he said but-tons, so they got to hear the word butt over and over. LOL

Oh no...the worst ones were those American Idol ones! I love it when they have the Hot Wheels though.

I put them in the trash almost immediatly-none of them hold Landens attention for more than 5 minutes.

The Madagascar ones are about to drive me over the edge. They only have 3... Alex, the I like to move it one and the giraffe. JJ absolutely LOVES the move it one and he dances.. and it's cute.. so I can partially handle it for a while.

We didn't have those ones up here, we had some other weird music ones, but it JUST so happened that it was the American Idol toys when we were in Cali last April, so we ended up with a couple. I think they got left in the hotel room. ;)

Hehe! Claire has the "I know that's right" one. One day in the car she was trying hard not to make it talk (yeah right) and my dh said something to the kids. Right after he said it we heard "I know that's right!" It was absolutely perfect timing, but they are annoying!

I had been listening to the monkey and the penguin for a while... then they took a long trip on the waste management express yesterday.

I hate the Madagascar ones. So annoying!
My 4 year old LOVES the Wizard of Oz dolls that were in the happy meals a few months ago. They are actually so cute, and the eyes blink like a real doll would. I love that she calls them her "Wicked" Dolls, instead of Wizard of Oz. I've brought her up right. ;)

About 3 years ago I had a revelation while cleaning out the kids toy boy....if it came with food....it belongs in the trash!! I mean why the heck was I spending good money on "real toys" just to clutter up my house with happy meal toys!?!?! :cursing:
So the rule from that day on was:
Thou shalt play with happy meal toys in the "restaurant" and on the way home then they shall be banished to the dark abyss of the circular grave forevermore!! (insert cool thundering noise and lightning)
So far so good, they haven't mutinied on my yet!!! :D

Lukas loves them I have quite a few that are still in bags because he has duplicates our mcdonalds will exchange them if they are unopened but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet lol. I can ignore them after a little while they must be on the same noise frequency as dh talking about ps2 or sports lol :p

IMO Hello Kitty was the best McToy theme.

We just ate at McD's last night so we have several more of the Madagascar toys now! I think we now have a couple of penguins, a couple of monkeys and two different hippos. My kids love them too but they are so dang annoying!
Kyle loves the American Idol ones, we still have a few around here and when he finds one he brings it to me so I can move the arm to make it sing over and over again and he laughs and dances lol!

My kids grow tired of them quickly thank God. I was getting tired of the penguins saying "smile & wave boys..." They used to sync them up(we had 2) and put one in each ear so they could hear them say it in "surround sound" :D

The only Shrek ones we ever got were the 3 babies and Shrek...all so annoying. We have tried to get rid of them a few times, but somehow they end up back in their toy bins.

this is exactly why my kids don't get happy meals!! Plus the fact that these toys are junk and just pile up. Not to mention that the price of a kids meal is ridiculous! My girls can have a plain burger or chicken and share the fries with us. Heck, most of the time I don't even get the meal, just the sandwich myself. I don't ever hear any fuss from my kids and now they've started ordering form the regular menu also, like snack wraps, double cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches.

Me too! They usually like the barbie ones. My girls like salads, so we usually don't get Happy Meals. I wish they would do a salad Happy Meal. In NYC they charged extra for the apple dippers vs the fries. Weird...

They sure are annoying and the kids won't keep the darn things turned off! But they seem to love these Madagascar ones! All the other McD toys they could care less about (although my son still loves the transformer ones).

I use them as junk toys for in the car and going into places so I don't have to worry about them getting lost or anything cause who cares.

Well, we got 2 of that damn Zebra. Both have made their way on the waste management express (love that Annie). We went tonight and our McD's is back onto Hot Wheels toys. He got 2 and lost 1 at Costco under some pallets...

If it makes noise it doens't survive long around me. But the small hot wheels and Pixar Cars type things I don't mind. DH hates all of them so he insists on making the rounds of fast food places when he takes them to lunch on Sundays. That way he only gets to McDs once every 5 weeks :)
