Stacy (pewtertm) and I met today!! Ummm we forgot to get pics of us together...so hoping I get to see her tomorrow...I took pictures of her darling daughter that I see in all her layouts...but forgot us! Can you believe that?!

Stacy and her family drove from Oklahoma City to Ft Smith Arkansas to meet me and my family while we are here for Regionals Competition for BEST Robotics. I was so tickled to finally meet her...felt like I've always known her.

Well off to a dinner for Robotics...and we'll be turning in early...we have to be at the competition at 6am! Talk to you all later...and HOPEFULLY I will see her one more time before we head home tomorrow!

Very cool! It's always so fun to meet peeps in real life...erm, unless they end up being weirdo stalkers...not that I've had that happen...:mellow::p Good luck in the competition!!!!! :thumbup:
 
Well, no wonder you're not answering messages LOL...get some sleep and we shall try to catch you tomorrow sometime before lunch! I HAVE to have some pics!

Oh, and BTW, Rachel has been talking about "Shar'n" all evening...she keeps asking where you are and if we're going to see you...so you were a BIG hit with her (and me too LOL)!!!

I just can't believe we forgot to take pictures!

Rachel is such a sweetie...and Brian asked if we were going to see you again because he didn't have his glasses on (since he was getting ready to go swimming)...he wants to see you IRL without being blurry. lol

Give me a call (Brian played the new solitaire game on my phone and ran the battery out!) tomorrow...you know where we'll be...at the University of Arkansas...Go Cyborgs!

Yeah...I've pretty much been a one theme scrapper lately. lol ...but I had an album to get finished to display at the booth...

...ok here comes the warning...I'll be taking pictures at competition tomorrow...now last competition I took 300 pictures...but this time I have to be in the risers...so prob won't take as many...but will take a "few"...
.....then........
basketball season starts up in January...so hopefully we will have a new basketball kit at SSD by then! lol I take pictures every week and do a 2 page spread of basketball pictures. ...then I have go cart pics to scrap (picked up a fun racing kit here)...and all the Christmas pics...so there will be a little bit of a variety mixed in with basketball and bowling...

we have 2 more weeks of bowling...and then we start back in the winter league in January...and (shhhh secret!) my boys will be getting bowling balls for Christmas...so boy will we be at the bowling alley a lot! ...sure would like an add on to that retro bowling kit (hint hint) lol

Well, all the more reason to take lots of pics of Rachel while we're here....it'll give you some girlish, pink, princess, frou-frou, frilly photos to scrap...and a reason to get some girly kits LOL!
 
We got some pictures today! Stacy and her family met us at the Robotics competition...it was really LOUD (and I mean earsplitting) there...Rachel did really good being just 3 and all these people were yelling, chanting, playing bagpipes, drums, and horns! I think she really liked seeing the robots make airplanes.

We ended up like 14th out of 40 teams...but our technical notebook was soooo good that we got the wildcard draw with 7 other teams...and beat them...but ended up not winning the competition. We did get 2nd place "founders award" for something like engineering and creative design. It was a blast...and I have no idea how many pictures I took...but something tells me it was much more than 300 pictures this time!

I'll have Stacy post a picture...since I'm on the road home right now...and can't reach my camera.

ooooo...that is exciting. i would love a custom bowling ball actually. my high score to date is 257 or something like that. the last time i bowled, however, my score was 103. i like to blame it on the lack of custom bowling ball.
 
Yes, Rachel did enjoy the robots...something tells me we'll be buying Wall-E sometime soon LOL. And she's forcing us to play with her "Shar'n" blocks LOL...she is loving those duplos!
