eh? maybe it was a young newbie cop who was single...maybe it was a bad area of "town".....who knows......I probably would have wiped out the belly and started yelling...."It's crowing...it's crowning......you're gonna have to deliver it here"!!!

On a side note my baby sister went into labor in May with her first baby and being first time parents the rushed to the hospital at the very first sign of labor...at like 2AM in the suburbs of Cleveland and got pulled over because my BIL was going like 90 in a 35MPH zone and they totally "flustered" the cop and got a police escort the hospital........she didn't have my nephew till like 13 hours later!!!

I'd love to see a follow-up story after the couple goes to court to appeal the ticket!

I can't believe he had the nerve to ask what was under her coat????? What the heck???? They should have made him believe that he was going to have to deliver the baby right then and there...especially if it was a newbie cop! :thumbup:

I saw this yesterday and had to step away from the computer......LOL Makes me seriously nervous because of the traffic around here to need to get to the hospital in an emergency (definitely on my mind more lately!). I'm sure this was more of an isolated incident with a complete moron, but still....how'd he get to be a state trooper!?!

Yeah, makes me real proud to be from Massachusetts! I am glad I love in New Hampshire now at least! I was totally not surprised tho when I read this yesterday cause the Mass State Police do have a stick up their butts! Well most of them anyway, my cousin is a statey in MA and he's a good guy but then again I don't have to talk to him as a police officer!

Definitely not a bad part of town at all! The traffic around here is crazy during rush hour so I do not blame them for driving in the breakdown lane. Heck there are certains sections of the highways surrounding boston where it is legal to drive in the breakdown lane during rush hour. I think that if they were going slow enough then this cop DEFINITELY shouldn't have given them a ticket nor should he have ticketed someone else first adn made them way. TOTALLY ridiculous!
Oh and lastly, I know that the state police are being put under pressure from the governor to stop people and check seatbelts. I know this being we got pulled over a few weeks ago for having a "weak" headlight! Seriously shouldn't these cops be spending thier time fighting crime instead of harrassing innocent drivers?
