My daughter goes in for the SAT testing today. SHe must be really nervous because she forgot her ID card and cant get in without it. Unfortunately that put her at being late for the test so when she left the second time around she was also crying. She left in plenty of time the first time and I asked her if she had everything she needed and she said yes only to have to come back for the ID like five or ten minutes later. I think she would only be like 5 minutes late if that so Im crossing my fingers they allow the last few stragglers to get in. She will be really upset if she misses it this time around. This isnt the best way to start a test this important though :(

ugh i remember SATs. i hope she does okay! they are stressful.

i didnt do as well as i thought i would. partly cause aparently, if you don't know an answer they say its best to leave it blank than to guess and get it wrong? i think you got more points knocked off if the answer was wrong vs. just blank. atleast thats how it was explained to me; after i had already guessed on a gazillion answers, lol. i think i go a 920. thats bad. i know i'm smarter than that. oh well, lol.

Oh poor thing, I hope all things go well for her. I'll send her positive vibes.

If it makes her feel any better, I barely made it to my second SAT testing, so I was super stressed out. Then on top of it, the fire alarms at the school had "dust" in them and kept going off. The first time we had to evacuate, then after that we just kept taking the test through the alarms. We were allowed to take it again at a later date, but I opted not to and actually got my best score (1200 combined). So depending on the type of person she is, it might help her, lol!
Nonetheless, best of luck to her!

Sending her lots of positive testing thoughts! I did well on them (and won a National Merit Scholarship based on my PSAT scores), but even so I hated the stress of SAT day.

oh no! :( poor thing! i hope that she gets in and lets go of some of those nerves and ends up doing well. she can do it!!

I bet she'll do super :) I was sooooooo sick when I took my sats .. lol it was pathetic. I refused to re-take them though ^_^

Oh, man, I hated that test day stress! Usually when I was panicked like that, though, I ended up doing great. Best of luck to her!

Thanks everyone. She ended up only being a few minutes late and they let her in as I think there were alot of kids who were late. I didnt get a chance to talk to her yet about the test as she just called and said she was on her way home. She sounded happy though so maybe it wasnt as bad as she thought...or maybe shes just happy they are done LOL

mine was the day of prom---since we were over-seas it was hard to get a testing date with so many kids and little space...one place/space for a ton of kids from 3 schools! YUK! I am sure she did fine :) poor thing so stressed :))

Thanks again everyone for the well wishes and happy thoughts :)

She talked to me when she got home. She said she thinks she did ok but she isnt sure. She said it was way harder then she thought it would be too. I think that is pretty much the norm for most people when they take the test though. Hopefully she did well. I just cant believe she is so close to graduatiing and going off to college. It doesnt seem possible really. Just a little over 18 months and she will be done with highschool. Technically she would be done before then because she has taken so many extra classes.

I am so glad they let her in. That must have been stressful and not a great way to start the test.
