I hope you all can help me decide...
I am wanting to do something with the autogrpahs. If I hae the characters sign on a blank white sheet an dI scan them when we get home can I transfer them to photoshop and then put the siggies as an overlay for the photos i take....I hope that makes sense...and if I can do actually do that how would I go about it.
Thank you all so much.

I think if you had them sign with a dark marker on white paper, it would be pretty easy to extract and overlay on a photo.

I took a book with blank white pages and had the characters sign on every OTHER page. :) I took a big sharpie (I read in a guidebook that those are better for the characters because they have to try to grip the pens while wearing great big costumes). I plan on scanning them all in and putting the signatures on the pages with the photos of the kids with the characters. :)

omg, I'll have to dig around a bit, but I'm sure I have them somewhere... when you work for the Disney Hotels, they give you a bunch of pages of the autographs and you have to learn them... if you can get good enough, you can become an official "autographer", where you autograph the pictures for the characters and send them to kids rooms and what not, it's what we called, "making magic".
If I can find the sheets, I'll gladly scan them and send them off to anyone who wants them.

That's a big freakin' IF I can find them... LOL

ETA: If it's something you guys really really want... I'm fairly certain I can get them from my friends that still work there. ;)

Okay that would be incredibly sweeeet of you!
Okay I have the black sharpie so that is what I will do. i hope scanning and extracting will work.

Dana, scanning should work, and I don't think you'd necessarily have to extract. If it's on a pure white paper, you should be able to just make it into a brush and then "stamp" it on your page in whatever color you'd like. :)
