A Mini Cake Wreck

Ok, so this doesn't measure up to the disasters on the cake wreck blog, but still...

My directions were; 'something girlie and flowery in pastel colors', so why is there a neon orange balloon on my baby's cake? :blink: The yellow is quite bright too and combined with the soft pink ... well it wasn't pretty.

Mya says, "It's ok mommy, I'll just take the ugly orange balloon off for you".

Poor baby, not only did she have a ugly cake, see that red streak across her forehead? She fell into the edge of our TV cabinent just as everyone was arriving for her party :(

She's ok though and the rest of the day was a hit.
 
well I'm sure you could just do a little photo editing and get the colors on the cake they way you want LOL. But who is going to even look at the cake? Mya is soooo adorable! Her eyelashes are killing me!

I cannot believe she is one :blink:.

Ohhh yess, the wonders of photo editing!

And ouch! Her forehead looks like my sons! He smacked his head bending down at the library :(
 
I love how they didn't even really use orange icing around the edge, but rather just did an airbrushed "stripe" of orange over the piping. Nice.
 
No one will even be looking at the cake in the pics...Mya is absolutely beautiful! But, yes, a little photo editing will do the trick. I sometimes wonder just what the cake decorators are thinking!
 
Misty One already she's a sweetie and poor Mya and her bo-bo :unsure:

I actually like that cake does that make me weird? LOL

Aw, she is so cute!!! :D I don't understand why cake designers feel that the balloons MUST be 3D. There is enough frosting on the cake already! LOL! :)
