It's such a MONDAY today. Coworker called in 'sick,' and work has been especially busy. I've made two runs over to the statehouse & have another document due at 3. I've also made 40 copies of a 51 page document for one of the attorneys here and am in charge of taking the delivery cart + empty boxes over to someone in the SH during my 3 pm run. That's in addition to keeping the copiers running (already changed staples + added paper in both today) as well as assembling all the documents.
I was plain ol' grumbly and irritated with my coworker and muttering abt how it figured I'd have extra errands today on top of the regular workload.
I was consoling myself by saying at least I could take lunch whenever I wanted since coworker wasn't here and I could listen to Pandora, which I never do, through my computer speakers. I'd decided to get abt 15 documents prepped to be put together after lunch, so I didn't leave at my normal 12:30.
That's when I heard Jon McLaughlin's 'Beautiful Disaster' playing on my Pandora station.
I just discovered this song last week when I bought Jon's CD. He's from FI's hometown and attended the same univ FI is getting his MBA from, so I've been meaning to pick it up, but just never have. It's amazing, in general, but the song 'Beautiful Disaster' especially speaks to me and the lonely insecure 17yo gurl that will always live inside me.

Now what, exactly, are the odds that this particular singer-songwriter would pop up on my Teen Pop (shh, don't tell!) station on Pandora... on the only day I have Pandora on at work... at a time I'm not usually even at my desk... and with the one song on the album that means the most to me... that speaks to not being so hard on yourself and being valuable?! Tell me, what are those odds?!
Thanks, Abba. I love You, too. God 1, The Mondays 0.
