RED THIS and then tell me what you think?

(a)Do you think it's ridiculous when celebrities are surprised that the public has a fascination with them?

(b)Do you think the public needs to lay off celebrities personal lives?

(c)Do you think that with all the publicity they give themselves that laying off of them is impossible to do?

(d)Or is your opinion on the matter all together different?

I for one am not into gossip mags. I usually never know what is going on with celebrities and their lives and frankly I don't give a crap. With that said, I think that a lot of them put themselves out there. They want the glory, but none of the other stuff that comes along with it.

In this instance, I think Jen is being whiny.

What's your take?

I think that she's normally pretty good about dealing with it, and that she's just hit her limit of late. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, we all have limits.

I think that yes, they put themselves out there, but yes the paparazzi is totally insane about it too. There should be a better balance to it.

ETA: So I voted for D. I guess that best fits what I think.

Yes I do. I mean, they put themselves out there, why wouldn't certain people be fascinated with them.

(b)Do you think the public needs to lay off celebrities personal lives?
Actually, yes I do. But, if celebrities are going to flaunt their lives for all to see *cough Britney Spears *cough - then they only have themselves to blame when unwanted information gets out. There are MANY celebrities who are very private and you know almost nothing about, I respect them because they are taking great measures to safeguard their privacy.

(c)Do you think that with all the publicity they give themselves that laying off of them is impossible to do?
At times yes. I mean, I could care less who is sleeping with who and who's pregnant by who and who wants to adopt a dozen kids. Who cares, but it's all over the place and can't be avoided.

(d) Or is your opinion on the matter all together different?
Nope. I think I said it all above! LOL

I voted B...I think that while the stars do put themselves out there, not EVERY single thing they do needs to be in the tabloids or reported on. People need privacy...how would YOU like every single thing you do put out there for people to have opinions on? It would suck. It comes with the territory, sure...but the paparazzi and some "fans" take it WAY too far.

I chose (a).

She chose to be an actress, she knew her life would be in the spotlight. If she doesn't like it - get a normal job like the rest of us and quit whining. Sounds harse - but that's life.

I know way too much about celebrities and gossip haha..I'm a popculture addict.

I do think the paps though are ridiculous..some just overstep boundaries that even the most attn seeking celebs wouldn't ask for. Yes it's a business and yes celebrities do put themselves out there for all to see but there has to be a lne somewhere. I think as long as they aren't purposefully putting themsevles out for attention then geez give them some privacy and space!

I think that's why Angelina "sells" her baby photos and donates the $$..the paparazzi are bound to get them anyways so they might as well have it done tastefully and the money goes to a good cause.

D. I just don't care.

Seriously - they are in a position looking for fame, and then are so surprised when it comes with all it's attachments. Not that fans and papparazzi don't go overboard, but I do get sick of the whining.

Yes, I feel fans should back off and just enjoy the personality without having to become their best friends. And yes, the rags need to back off and try to report something that matters (including entertainment shows and supposed news channels that spend so much time talking about celebrity (hear me CNN & Fox, etc.?).

Other than that - I just don't care. ROFL

i totally think that there needs to be a better balance too! and i actually don't think its the paparazzi's fault. i think they are crazy people just trying to make a living too. BUT!! i mainly think it's the publics fault with having such a fascination with other peoples lives. if there wasn't a demand for the gossip, they would lay off. cause no one would buy the mags. in any case, we are all curious and that is human nature. i don't think there will ever be a balance and that when you become a celebrity you just need to own up to the fact that your gonna be looked at and admired and stalked. that's the facts.

I have to say I find the matter intersting, (angelina brad) but I don't think it is anyones business just cause they are celebs. Everyone needs to be able to sperate work from personal life. It must be very hard to be in the public eye...with that said I find it insane that they expect the public not care. Celebrity's in the U.S. are like roalty...so i guess I can see both sides. Clear as mud huh?

I think that stars should expect a certain amount of their privacy to be violated. However (since you brought it up ;) ) , I do think that sometimes things are taken too far. I think that Jennifer was really hurt when her marriage disolved and I think it was over publicized. When you are dealing with that much grief in your private life, you don't want everyone talking about it. I wouldn't like it if everyone in the world was talking about how my husband left me for another woman.

I think their private lives should be private, but if they get drunk in a bar and start blabbing about how they slept with so & so while that person was still married to someone else, then it's not so private. But photographers sneaking around in the bushes with telephoto lenses is another thing.

I'm not really up on pop culture at the moment. I know about Brittany because there is no way not to know about Brittany. I see names in tabloids at the supermarket but that is about it. I won't read any of it because I don't trust it to be true or within context & I don't think it is any of my business what is between Brad, Angelina & Jennifer.

Unless, they are all drunk in bar having some sort of smack down. Then it qualifies as actual entertainment. :)

i sometimes like to hear gossip about people i like, but i don't obsess over it. i do think some paparazzi need to layoff and give them a break, but on the other hand it goes with the territory. but i'm not a celebrity so i don't know how i'd take it, lol.

I think it's ridiculous that the public IS fascinated with celebrities. I mean really...they sit on the toilet like everyone else.

I'd like to see the public stop deifying these people, and stop throwing money their direction. It really frustrates me that Cameron Diaz can make 30million bucks for voicing Princess Fiona in Shrek 3 (which stunk IMO), yet teachers, policemen, firefighters etc are just getting by.

I'm going to stop now because I can feel a rambling rant coming on LOL.

I don;t keep up with celeb gossip so...

All I'm saying is if I'm getting paid MILLIONS of dollars, I think the paparazzi taking my picture at dinner, etc. would be a fair trade-off.

:) So where do I sign up?

Yesss...sing me up too!
I would be a great super star!

First I agree with you here and I don't keep up with their lives. If I have to choose then I would say the public needs to lay off and allow them to have a private life. On the flip side, is that really possible? I personally find the celebrity obsession thing disturbing. Aren't there more important things to worry about in this world? Our culture is really sad. We are so obsessed with money and fame and all things fake that it just makes me sick. I'm not saying it's wrong to have a favorite actor or something like that, but I hope I make some sorta sense and what I'm trying to get at. I don't want to be like Brittney or Jennifer or the rest. Life should not be all about crap we don't need and material things we can't see, but that's precisely what the culture wants us to believe. I'm not a fan of pop culture, at all.

If you wanna be rich and famous, and if you wanna be an actress or singer, you betta be prepared for all that entails. You can't live the high life/high PROFILE life and expect to be left alone. Gimme a break.
Miss Anniston is the LAST one to be talking anyway, considering she decided to share and dish about her marriage, or what was left of it, in a recent interview. If it was nobody's d*** business she would have kept her mouth shut.

How can she be surprised when we live in a world of Facebook and Twitter? Everyone is a paparazzo spying on everyone else, and everyone shares the excruciatingly specific boring details of their everyday lives with everyone else.

She just happens to be more 'interesting,' per se, than we are because the general culture tells us she is. What she doesn't understand is that we don't understand what the big deal is b/c we share too much information with too many people all the time. Her audience being bigger makes the difference.

I vote 'a' too. I think that the papparazzi has gotten a bit crazy, but I think that celebs have gotten crazier too, lol! I feel like they know what they are signing up for and that is one thing they have to deal with. A ton of the problems that 'everyday' people have to deal with, they don't. there's a trade off and I don't think they were tricked into the career, so they oughtta just learn to deal. :)

Where is "e" Jennifer is a whiny annoying brat that has taken milking the whole break up thing to a whole new level. LOL Can you tell I am a big fan of hers. LOL

It´s riddiculus! Specially her, I don´t understand why she´s such a big deal over there... she´s not that big actress, she´s not a big box office caller, she´s not interesting at all, but everyone is so into her cause she´s the one who got trade by Angelina Jolie. At least those Spencer and Heidi are fake and they act like it, to call atention, that´s it. Why else would Jennifer go to The Ivy have lunch? They can´t have the best chicken salad in town... She makes me angry. I can´t believe she´ll be at the Marley movie. :glare:

I think their JOB is to entertain us in the movie theatre or on the television. I think the morbid curiosity that people have about actors is a tad disturbing. Especially when it extends to children!!

I suspect they have NO idea how all consuming the papparzzi are when they choose the hollywood route. Its easy to say find another job, but even when they stop (Jennifer Garner comes to mind) people still follow them.
