Do you still get a stocking? As a kid and young adult it was my FAVORITE part of Christmas morning. I still do one for my husband and LOVE getting things for his and the kids but he never thinks to do one for me. I'm thinking of doing my own this year LOL
Do you do stockings? For just the kids or everyone? What is your staple stocking stuffer?

I do stockings for DH, my 2 boys and my mom. DH does mine. And normally I fill DH & Moms with stuff like are filled with things like Candy, Nuts (DH loves nuts), Car Wash coupons, Dunkin Donuts G/C, cute colored socks for my mom. The boys usually get some candy and used to be matchbox cars or stuff like that, now I'll do things like bomb bags (these little bags filled with vinegar and baking soda) that kind of explode when you throw them on the ground) and gag things they like.
We do stockings for the adults and DH and I fill each others.
Totally do your own and fill it with awesome stuff... so if he asks why you can say that since you had to fill your own you splurged  :p

We hang them because we have old handmade ones, but we don't fill them.
Yes, everybody here has a stocking. Even the cats :) We get to open those on Christmas Eve

Yes, I love stockings! My mom would allow my sister and me to open ours first while we waited for my dad to roll out of bed! *lol* My mom loves them, and there is almost always M'n'M candy and a magazine subscription as well as some toiletry type things like the hair gel I use that I can't seem to find in a store here in Indy but is sold at the salon 5 minutes from my parents' house.
FI and I are just doing one big present this year, so I'm getting my gift fix by buying him things that are technically for his stocking... even though the guitar stand won't really fit in the stocking. *lol*
Our first Christmas together was last year, and we did not do stockings until we got to my parents' house & then I 'reinforced' the stocking Mom had already begun for him. He is supposed to do my stocking, but I know if he forgets or doesn't, my mom will have mine filled up at her house, so he will be off the hook. I can't remember if last year he filled up my stocking at my parents' or if it was just stuff from my mom.

We do stockings...I needlepointed one for each of us...ok, I've even made one for one of my cats LOL.
Mine doesn't always end up filled, but I always fill up Rachel's and my stepdaughters, and I usually put DH's favorite candy and maybe some cologne in his.

I had stockings all while growing up - even after the mystery of Santa was revealed. When I got married, my Mom said I didn't get a stocking anymore but my 2 sisters still do - 36 and 31 because they're single! DH is supposed to do mine but I usually tell my sisters and Mom to pick some things up to put in it for him. I give him a stocking and last year we did one for ds, still wondering about this year though . . .

Do you make the bomb bags? Sounds like something my boys would love

my mama still does our stockings every year and puts fun stuff in it. tea, rhapsody cards, etc. it's a little over the top but she still considers us her 'babies' i guess. she does it for her mainly, i think.

DH and I do them for each other. And usually mine is full of stuff that you find at the checkout line in Walmart. LOL trial sizes of everything, candy, gum, chapstick, super glue, and usually some fishing lures, hooks, etc.
My mom still hangs one for each of us at her house, but only fills the kids ones.

we all have stockings at my grandparents' house. mostly because we always go there on christmas morning and do christmas there. yes, even since they've moved an hour and a half away. we still drive up there at like, 9am. and have breakfast. and if it's not bitter cold, we wear our pajamas up.
ANYWAY when my brother and i were little, they'd fill ours. but now that we're all grown (haha), we've got a new system. we choose names.
for the name you choose, you buy three things. and then for everyone else, you buy one. that way, everyone's stockings get filled up. and my grandparents usually stick either a gas card or a dunkin' donuts card in as well.
we have a $25 limit for the stockings. so you have to buy everything for under $25.
my staples? for the girls (mom, grama and my aunt): lotion. i buy mini lotions when i go to the beauty supply store. and for the guys (dad, grampa and my brother): well, they usually get like, gum or something. except my dad. he gets toothpicks. long story.

I do stocking for all 4 kids but Dh and I don't do them for each other...only because we usually only buy each other a few small things anyways!! My kids get stuff like earrings for my DD's, lip smackers, bubble bath, toe socks and some type of chocolate Santa. For my older DS little transformers, match box cars, little hand help video games, bubble bath and some type of chocolate Santa. For the baby he got a new sippy cup, a "fancy" package of Cheerios from the baby section, a cute Santa rubber ducky, a bar of no slip grip baby soap and some bath toys.
However my MIL still does stocking for everyone so I get a stocking when I got to her house!!! but it usually filed with the same stuff every year....lip balm (gross kind) nail files, mini hand sanitizer ect......

Even though I'm 25, my mom still does stockings for all of us. She loves to do it. As kids, whoever woke up first went into my parents bedroom and waited for the other 2 to wake up and come in. When we were really little, my mom would go start a pot of coffee and then bring us back our stockings. The paper that the stocking presents were wrapped in matched the presents under the tree that were ours (that way no gift tags - my mom figured out there was no santa when she recognized her moms handwriting on the tags, so she didn't want that to happen with us). We couldn't open the stockings until my dad was up and had a cup of coffee in his hand. After stockings we would all walk down to the living room and open presents.
My mom likes to mix it up with the stockings. Lotions and such were always included, along with all sorts of small little items that reminded her of each of us in their own way. I do'nt think Jordan got a stocking last year, I think my mom said not til we're officially married.
I bought stockings for us and Tiger this year from Pottery Barn with our names embroidered on them. Since we don't DO Christmas here, they don't get filled. But once we have kids I fully intend on following in my moms footsteps :)
Oh and my parents also still do stockings, and they fill each others. :)

We do stockings for all 4 of us. My Mom made this big felt stockings for each of us. Mine was replaced about 5 years ago with a Victorian boot that she made for me.
The boys usually get some small things...crayons/coloring book/hot wheels. One year we got them little Star Wars figurines. Plus, there is the ubiquitous chocolates  This year, everyone is getting a DVD in their stocking, plus the chocolate!

We do stockings for the kids. I'd like to do them for us & sometimes do buy things for DH's but he has enough stress trying to get me one gift that I think asking him to buy something for a stocking as well would totally put him over the edge.:) Asking him to just buy soemthing for the stocking would be even more stressful because then he'd have to think about size issues. :)
we'll be at my parents this year and my mom does stockings for all of us.

My MIL does stockings for all of us... it's sweet. The kids' are usually stuffed to the brim and mine usually has a few new Christmas ornaments in it. My mom does a little stocking for each of the kids too.
We do stockings for the kids and the dog, and I do one for DH. He shoved some earrings in mine last year but otherwise he doesn't do one for me. They were always my favorite part of Christmas too!

Santa visits while we're at my parents, and I think it would be too difficult to explain to the kids while Santa didn't fill the adults' stockings, so we do fill them. My mom usually has stuff for everyone's stockings, but I do most of my kids (and sometimes spend as much on the stockings as I do on their gifts, although not this year!). I just bought a necklace for my own stocking, and want to pick up some cologne for my husband's stocking. Honestly, most Christmas Eve days, you'll find my husband and I up at my hometown variety store, trying to find things to shove in the adults' stockings. Magazines for my parents, etc. I always buy for myself, or I'd get nothing but what my mom buys for me.
